S: Ellen's 70th Birthday Celebration

BC: The End

FC: From: Lots of people who really love you! 2011 | Happy 70th Birthday

1: HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY We find ourselves wondering... Did we give you your due.. For all that you've done for us Did we ever thank you? For all of our childhood memories For helping us deal with life's stresses For helping us accept our defeats And celebrate our successes? Or for teaching us the value of hard work, Good judgment, courage, and being true The laughter, smiles, and quiet times we've shared Did we ever thank you? If we have forgotten, we're thanking you now You taught us right from wrong.... We hope you know how much you're loved and appreciated We hope you, instinctively, knew all along.

2: Ode To Ellen on Her 70th Birthday You are an amazing woman whom we are all thankful to be connected to. Thank you through the years for... ..sharing your wisdom ...sharing your joys ....laughing with us ...crying with us .....being there ............

3: The Way We Were Memories Light the corners of my mind Misty watercolor memories Of the way we were Scattered pictures Of the smiles we left behind Smiles we gave to one another For the way we were Can it be that it was all so simple then Or has time rewritten every line If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me - Would we? Could we? Memories May be beautiful and yet What's too painful to remember We simply choose to forget So it's the laughter We will remember Whenever we remember The way we were

6: You were there when we took our first steps And went unsteadily across the floor. Thro' in our childhood you pushed and encouraged, Till our steps took us out the door.
