4: Nan was interested in Tarot cards and did readings for people from as far away as New York City. 5: Tilley is a community in Victoria County NB. It is a heavily wooded farming community between Perth Andover and Grand Falls. In the early to mid 20th century Tilley was the site of a large annual fair | New Denmark is a Canadian rural community in Victoria County NB. The community derives its name from several Danish settlers who inhabited the area in 1872, eventually forming what would become the oldest Danish community in Canada | Perth Andover is divided by the Saint John river with Perth on the east bank and Andover on the west bank. Much of Perth was originally part of the territory of the Tobique First Nation whose reserve was established in 1801 at the band's request.

7: Nan's first birth certificate was completed on a death certificate form. We are not sure if she knew this happened but apparently whoever was responsible for these forms in 1909 did not have a birth form with them. It appears her parents had a birth form completed for her in 1912.

13: Mammie, Rachel. Elsie, Melissa(Nan) | The sisters always had great fun together and were each other's support. Nan and Mammie married the Christensen brothers so they had this relationship in common. They would often quilt together. Rachel and Nan were very close since they were left on their own for a time to raise their children. 22: Pat Goodine and Nan were together from 1954 to 1983. He was a father to Darryl and grandfather to Rebecca and Gary. Nan met him when Marvin was 19 years old and Darryl was four. They were together for 29 years. The family moved to Moncton so Pat could go to business school but came back to the Perth area where he lived for the remainder of his life. | Born October 20, 1923 Died November 9, 2001
