Having been selected as a service scholar prior to his first year at DePaul, Patrick was naturally involved in the community service area of UMIN. His involvement in UMIN quickly spread beyond the requirements of his scholarship. Having been very involved in his parish back home in Milwaukee, Patrick volunteered to serve as a Eucharistic minister and altar server at CCM Sunday night mass. That initial involvement in Mass later led him to serve as Eucharistic minister coordinator for two years and serving as a peer minister and role of liturgical assistant his senior year. Patrick’s natural attention to detail and management skills honed in his studies as a theater management major served him well as he took on the responsibility of organizing the many student liturgical ministers who make Sunday possible each week. Patrick’s involvement in UMIN didn’t stop there. For the first year and a half, Patrick has served as UMIN’s web developer as well as our resident computer, phone and network geek, a term we use with love. He has assisted students and staff throughout the department in many technological media arose. Always helping providing assistance with a smile and usually a hearty chuckle. He has also put his management skills to work in helping coordinate logistics for youth student service day and Vincentian service day. Throughout his time at DePaul, Patrick has not only been a familiar and friendly face in university ministry and CCM offices, he has been a dedicated worker, a leader of his peers and has been committed to making DePaul and University Ministry a better place for his fellow students.
