FC: 15 Tips to Survive Colleege | By Holly Ryan

1: live it well..!!!! | What happens in college can effect the rest of your life.

2: Tip 1: Eat Healthy It is easy to fill yourself on cafeteria food and take out when you are busy. But this lifestyle will soon catch up to you. Therefore learn how to cook quick meals that will give you lots of energy.

3: Tip 2: Make a Schedule Take a class load you can handle. Remember to schedule in fun and sleep. Use a calendar to organize all of the different classes and activities you have so you can stay up to date on your homework.

4: Tip 3: Explore the town Don't stay cooped up inside all day. College is also a time meant to explore different parts of the world. It's okay to take a break and go on an adventure through the city!

5: Tip 4: Do not isolate yourself It is easy to sit in your dorm room all day afraid to meet new people. But go out and socialize. Get acquainted with your peers and dormmates

6: Tip 5: Find a Hideaway Find a place that you can focus and study. Go to a favorite table in the library or under a tree at a park. Find a quiet corner where no one will bother you.

7: Tip 6: Schedule Breaks Make sure you are adding breaks in between your study time. It is important for your mind to refresh so you can better focus on your schoolwork

8: Tip 7: Study Buddies Find at least 2 or 3 people in each one of your classes to study with. Exchange contact information just in case you miss class you can get the notes and homework assignments.

9: Tip 8: Set Goals Goals keep you motivated to keep going when things get tough. They allow you to accomplish your dreams.

10: Tip 9: Take Notes You think you will remember what is taught in class, but once you leave the classroom many times all that information stays.

11: Tip 10: Wear flip-flops in the bathroom Though the cleaning crew comes, those bathroom floors have seen alot over the years and you do not want it on your feet

12: Tip 11: Don't hit the snooze button It is easy and appealing to skip class and sleep in. But those absences can add up and really hurt your final grade

13: Tip 12: Enjoy care packages Don't take for granted those care packages sent by loved ones in the mail. Keep in contact with your family!

14: Tip 13: Limit Coffee Intake Coffee cannot replace sleep. Caffeine has a negative effect on your body when you drink to much of it.

15: Tip 14: Back up your files Computers fail and you don't want to lose all of your information in the middle of finals week

16: Tip 15: Buy used Textbooks There is no reason to buy brand new textbooks. You can save a lot of money by buying your books online.

18: We love hanging out with our friends, and this is a list of the things we love doing: going out to the movies, concerts, theme parks, hanging out at the mall, bowling, and playing video games. | Hanging Out | Lots of new connections were made this year as students took on a bigger role in planting the on-campus garden and also helping with the local soup kitchen.

19: At Oakmont, we work hardand we play hard. There’s nothing better than breaking loose at the end of the day to hang with our besties. | The school spirit was nothing short of palpable all year. Our hearts and minds were in the game, and we stayed focused at every turn.

20: School Spirit | We are Oakmont to the core! We are Oakmont, hear us roar! Everyone’s cheering for the home team! The stands were packed for every game and meet all year.

21: School spirit week was so fun this year! We started off the week wearing the school colors, and had fun games at lunch like baseball toss, a dunk tank, and lawn bowling. We even got Mr. Carter to sit on the dunk tank!

23: This year we loved setting trends, from the latest clothing styles, hairstyles, and makeup to backpack and even gym shoes. This year we were all about: colorful, bright tops, skinny jeans, Chuck Taylor All Stars, TOMS shoes, cool ray-ban sunglasses, UGGS & Northface jackets.

25: Fall Fling was a night to remember! Ours was the most magical Prom everbecause Oakmont students know how to rock out!

All will have heath care by 2014.

27: Alex Rodriguez’s appeal of his historic 211-game doping suspension began at Major League Baseball’s Park Ave. headquarters, but the Yankees’ scandal-stained superstar isn’t the only player on the hot seat this week. Florida prosecutors have launched an investigation into Tony Bosch and his Biogenesis anti-aging clinic. | Prince William -- you and Kate Middleton already have fulfilled the most important job that a British royal has — producing an heir. William and Kate, you are both extremely loving and hands-on parents. In fact, you’re the most hands-on parents that the British royal family has ever seen. | Royalty | Baseball
