FC: Texas: Morse Reunion June 2011
1: The trip started with an airplane ride to San Antonio! The boys were really excited to be on an actual airplane, and especially loved that the Walsh family was traveling with us.They did great on the plane ride and mostly enjoyed it, although they realized it's not as exciting as they imagined. After arriving in S.A. we got a rental car and drove 2 1/2 hours to Corpus Christi to Dave's house. Easton used some of this time to draw his favorite Mario characters, like Bowser and the piranha plants. The last 45 minutes was painful for them. Especially Luke, who unfortunately discovered that his rented car seat is not nearly as comfortable as his at home. All they could think about was getting to the beach and catching crabs!
2: Our first evening in Texas the whole family was there. (Kristina, Stephen and Alex flew home the next morning) Kira made it Luau night with leis and Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner. After dinner the kids put on a show for us with dancing, singing and violin playing by Paul. The boys were really impressed with Paul. At first they were a bit hesitant to perform, but once Paul and Max did, Easton and Luke would not be left out!
5: Down by the bay...
9: All the kids loved finding and catching the baby crabs, since they were too small to pinch them. Luke had even more fun playing in the mud, though.
11: Our first swim at the beach! We arrived at South Padre Island in the evening, but we couldn't wait for daylight to start playing. We and the Walsh family shared a rented condo. It was really nice, with lots of space for us all. Dave's family and Grandma and Grandpa joined us the next afternoon.
23: Easton was happiest in the water, jumping waves with Paige and searching for ghost crabs. Luke preferred to stay on shore and built many, many volcanoes. Dave and Kelly enjoyed everything about being at the beach again, and had a blast boogie boarding. One night Chris and Dave bought a bunch of fresh seafood and we had a feast. Best food ever. Another night there were fireworks and we watched them from the condo's balcony.

27: Bye bye Texas...bye bye beach! | I wish I could say it was a nice trip back, but Easton got really motion sick.. We waited a long time before exiting the plane, then carried him off when the risk of pukes seemed to pass.
