1: January 2009 brought us a beautiful ice and snow storm. that kept everyone home for a few days.. We even walked cross-country to the grocery store to go shopping!
2: In January, Joseph was cutting an apple for Mark when the knife slipped and cut pretty deeply into the pad of his thumb, requiring an emergency room trip and 8 stitches! | Joseph's Thumb

4: In the early spring of the year, the weather was too beautiful to stay inside! Table Rock State Park was the perfect place to enjoy it.

13: Wilson's Creek National Battlefield | We took a road trip to Ozark, Missouri to the the Wilson's Creek Civil War battlefield one rainy weekend shortly after Mark turned 1. He had just started walking, and it was his first time really walking around outside. I think he was getting tired by the time these pictures were taken!

21: The Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, Missouri August 2009 Probably one of the best spontaneous dates we've taken! Patricia was staying with us to help out for a while, so we left Mark at home with her and enjoyed a day away together.

23: Our special First of September dinner, Mark's first outing to the playground at the park, and playing in the leaves at CofO were all a part of a lovely fall season for the Long family in 2009!
