FC: The Modern Day Sniper
Ben Phillips was an expert sniper that served as an honorary member of the Marines protecting the United States from terrorism. | Ben's sister was also a member of the Marines and served side-by-side with him through his everyday duties. | One day, however, they were both called to duty in an intense war zone in downtown Baghdad.
Before entering the dangerous war zone, they met up and discussed their intricate strategy. Their plan--Melissa would go in and get valuable information and then give Ben the sign to take him down.
Because of the magnitude of this task, his sister, Melissa, was called in as an undercover agent. After the phone call, they both immediately headed back to camp to gear-up for their long day ahead.
When he first arrived in the city, Ben, as usual, was very nervous and anxious to complete his task. He watched as his sister got into position and disguise for this mission. HIs goal was simple--wait for the signal and then take him down. Now all he had to do was sit and wait, and wait, and wait.....
Bang! Bang! Bang! He woke immediately to the sound of gunfire below on the streets of Baghdad. He checked himself for injuries, and thankfully, hadn't been shot. He checked his location and spotted his enemy...
While searching for a location to fire from, he noticed a large crowd gathering around his adversary. Ben remember that his sister was disguised as an undercover Baghdad citizen; however, he couldn't distinguish between her and the locals that were gathering around his targeted enemy.
His first thought was to shoot straight for his enemym but he knew if he miss than it would be a didaster. So he waited for the crowd to disperse before he locked on to his target. While focusing on his enemy, he noticed a few people chatting and talking in the streets. One of them looked up and spotted him on the rooftop!
After he saw the people had noticed him, he began to panic. He peered over the top of the roof and saw them all looking up and arguing very loud. | His heart was racing and he made an instinctive descision. He opened fire on the group and they began to fire back. While shooting, he noticed his enemy had escaped but he still had a huge problem to deal with. During the shootout, many of them escaped and only one was laying limp on the dirty street. His heart was pounding through his chest and he knew he was still in danger.
He immediately exited the building and took off down the street. While running, he stopped to see the face of the enemy he had killed. His face got pale and his heart stopped beating. He uncovered the dead body only to find his sister's face staring back at him.
