48: Family vacation 2012. Our trip started with driving to Ray and Tina's. Cora,Clare and Sarah went swimming and opened gifts from the Crosen family. Brandyn and Danielle arrived for dinner. This is Danielle's first vacation with our family and she managed to survive with only a few bruises. After much laughter and good food we settled in for the night to get an early start for Duck, NC in the morning.
49: Everyone loaded into the cars and off we went. Traffic was very bad and it took us many hours of tense driving to get to our destination. However, upon entering the house we put our long trip behind us and settled in for a fabulous week. Having the pool and hot tub with the house was a much added enjoyment. Gave the kids more options and got the rest of us in the water more. We had a few poor days of weather but everyone was able to find something to do besides go to the beach. After the storms moved through the kids loved the big waves but were not able to spend as much time in the ocean.
50: Most of our group in Manteo. Went to Big Al's for lunch (a tradition). Stopped for ice cream and some sightseeing. We also had a great game of miniature golf with the girls, Brandyn and Jo (alias Danielle), Nanny and Grander. The girls played very well and enjoyed the train trip on to the course. We had lunch at a seaside restaurant and afterward walked out on the pier to watch the fishermen catching fish and cleaning them. Also went to Jennette's Pier
51: where they had an aquarium and more fishing. Brandyn and Jo took the girls to the Aqarium | A good time was had by all spending long days at the beach. Refreshing dips in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub. Delicious food, good conversation and great family times. Looking forward to our next adventure!
