BC: Thank you for sharing in our story...
FC: Welcome to our family.....
The picture to the right shows our family personalities. That's me on the left, Sheila. I'm a high school English teacher and Yearbook adviser. I have a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership. That means I can teach classes to people who want to become teachers. I don't plan on leaving the school I teach at, though. I love the school and the students. We live in the same school district where I teach, so at the end of the school day, our kids can ride the bus to the high school and spend time with me. When the kids were younger, I used to love to wait for them at the front door as they got off the bus. I'm a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, love lasagna, and my favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz. To my right is Clayton. He is in 8th grade, but next year he will be at the high school with me. He gets A's and B's, plays trombone in the school Jazz band, plays guitar, sings in the church praise band, and next year he will play football. He is an amazing kid with an amazing heart. He has several close friends. All of his friends like to come to our house when they hang out (mostly because Clayton's dad is so funny). Next is Sydney. She has a crazy personality! She is always on task and forgets nothing. If there is something that needs done, you can count on her to take care of business. She usually gets straight A's and can get upset if she happens to get a B on her report card. She also LOVES drama. She is involved in a local acting group. She spends most of her summers divided between acting and playing softball. She knows EVERYTHING there is to know about fishing, and she plans to be on the high school fishing team in a few years. All the way to the right is Adam. He is the funniest person I've ever met. As I mentioned earlier, kids love coming to our house because they never know what he will do our say next. He truly loves his family, and we all know he would do anything for us. He loves fixing up old cars, and we love riding in those cars. He built a very large garage where he keeps his projects. He currently has three cars that he is working on. Adam loves to take us on trips. Traveling to fun, new places is a favorite past time for our family because Adam always plans the most amazing experiences for us. In the following pages, we hope you get to know our family a lot better. It's our pleasure to share our story with you.

 Kansas City Chiefs
Our family enjoys watching football games together, not just on TV, but we also enjoy the long trip to Kansas City in order to watch our Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium. Clayton's room is decorated all in Chiefs stuff, and Sheila's classroom is painted red and yellow. Sydney will watch the Chiefs, but she is really a Chicago Bears fan. We've never been to a Chicago game, but maybe one day, we will make the trip.
 About Adam
Adam is so much fun! Through our married lives, his sense of humor has been a blessing. He is a Technical Technician for the cable company by day, but on the evenings and weekends, he's all about his family. He has many hobbies. He likes to work on old cars, do odd jobs around the house, and take us on vacations. As a child, his family took a lot of trips, so he enjoys taking his family to some of the places he enjoyed as a child. Tennessee, Branson, and Arkansas are some of the places we've been recently. We are very close to his mother, step-father, and grandmother. Our family gets together with them almost every Sunday after church. His mother fixes a big lunch, and we either watch movies or football. Adam is an amazing father; he gives everything he has to our children: his time, his attention, and his wisdom.
About Sheila Sheila is one of four children (the oldest and only girl.). In high school she played volleyball, was in drama, student council, and worked at a grocery store. She attended college at University of Illinois where she attained her Masters Degree. She is a well loved high school English teacher. In her spare time she loves to do puzzles, play Wii, read, cook, garden, and most of all travel with the kids. She has a fun-loving spirit and loves God and her family. She is not only a great mother but a best friend.
 Clayton Edward
Our Oldest... -He enjoys helping with children. In the picture above, he was working as a teaching assistant during vacation bible school. -He is involved in a lot of activities: football, Civil Air Patrol (see the big picture on the other page), guitar, trombone, keyboard, our church praise band, and golf. -At home, he likes to play video games (and teach his sister how to play), talk to his friends by texting or facebook, and shoot his Airsoft guns. | From Clayton: My mom and my dad are amazing. My dad is a fun loving guy that will just sit down with you and spend some quality time with you. My mom will help you with whatever you need help with, whether its school problems or if you're just having a bad day- she is there for you. I think these two would be amazing parents of another child. I know that God just didn't put this on their hearts for nothing..
 Sydney Dru
Sydney loves to plan things: vacations, parties, and anything else that can be planned. If someone needs a pick-me-up, she is quick to create an art project that brings a smile. She is also involved in many activities: -the bible quizzing team -softball -drama She has been in local productions of Disney's Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. | From Sydney: I love my family. Dad is fun and can fix anything. Mom is the loving and compassionate, caring mom. My brother is always helping me. I love my family. I would like to have a brother or sister to share my loving family with me.
 Antonio Manuel
Tony was first introduced to our family in May, 2011. We made several trips to Minnesota to visit with him; he then made two separate trips to Illinois to visit with us. In October, he made the permanent transition into our family. He has been a blessing to us. We've worked through academic school difficulties, frustration that developed as a result of this huge life change, and the process of teaching what family really means. The kids have developed a close bond, and we love spending time together- whether it's dressing like astronauts for Vacation Bible School, traveling, eating out, or going to academic awards night (which Tony was a part of for the first time in his life), we love doing it all as a family.
