S: Our Alaskan Anniversary
BC: An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow.
FC: The Shine's
1: We got married on August 12, 1995 and we decided to celebrate 15 fantastic years by taking an Alaskan cruise!
2: We are a work in progress with a lifetime contract.
3: Flew to Seattle on Saturday so we'd be ready for the cruise to Alaska on Sunday, July 18, 2010.
4: . | The Sapphire Princess was built in 2004 and holds 2,674 passengers and 1,100 crewmembers.
5: The temperature stayed in the low 40's for most of the trip so we were glad we had a cabin with a balcony so we could stay warm!

7: Headed to Alaska
8: Left Seattle and traveled through Puget Sound. The water was beautiful, and our first sunset was amazing...even if it was 9:00 pm.
9: First on the agenda - found the ice cream!
11: Arrived in Ketchikan , Alaska on Monday morning. The sunrise was unbelievable, even if it was 4 o'clock in the morning!
12: Stayed in Ketchikan for several hours and then headed to Tracy Fjord
13: Every day with you is a celebration!
14: Sawyer Glacier Tracy Fjord
15: Woke up at 4 am as the ship was entering Tracy Fjord Arm. It was foggy but the closer we got to the glacier, the fog rose. | The cruise ship wound its' way through Tracy Fjord Arm to the glacier. Sawyer Glacier was the most beautiful sight we have ever seen!

19: Juneau Alaska Rainforest | There were over 100 eagles in one inlet feeding on salmon. What an amazing sight! | Upside down trees. Flowers are planted in the roots and the top of the tree is planted in the ground.

21: Mendenhall Glacier Juneau, Alaska The glacial ice is so blue because it is so dense the light cannot get through.. Snowfall and the constant movement of the ice causes the glacier to calve.

31: Left Carcross and wound back through Lake Bennett and Chilkoot Pass where we stopped to visit the rock statues left by earlier travelers. Then headed back to Skagway.
