S: 2009 Christmas
BC: Happy Holidays
FC: 2009 Christmas!
Christmas means baking... baking lots of goodies for the neighbors, and gingerbread houses, with little people, and cookies and candies and ... oh my! Lets get started!
 B A K I N G G O O D I E S
Sophia and I baked goodies to give to our neighbors: banana bread with chocolate chunks, snickerdoodles & peanutbutter fudge! (Mmmmmmmm!)
This was the year we counted up our spare change to give our Christmas a lil' boost.
SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN!
What is a holiday without proper Christmas crafts? Felt, embroidery floss, glitter and beads; everything we need to make our Advent Calendar. And, with enough material left over, I was able to make matching stockings (the tree for Zachary, snowman for Alexander, and silver poinsettias for Sophia.) Gracie the Cat helped gravity by holding the felt down while Sara... well.... she was there.
Every day a little something special gets the season on its way. | The Season of Advent
Sophia's very first Tap Recital. She did an excellent job tapping her heart out to the Jackson 5's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"
To see Alex & Friends Singing their little hearts out with zest and vigor.
z | Setting out the Nativity Set & Trimming the Tree! What blessed times are these!
Each of our ornaments hold a special place in our holidays. Some have been made by hand, while others are heirloom-quality. The little Angel and the green bulb were gifts from Nana & Grand-Dad. The green bulb has a picture of them and, if you press a button on the bottom, you can hear them say: "Hi Linda, Zach & Alex, this is Nana & Grand Dad wishing you a "Merry Christmas." Since Grand Dad's passing, this bulb has become a very treasured ornament, played once each holiday
Gingerbread Houses!! | This year we learned that using frosted mini-wheats to create a thatched roof on your gingerbread house.... doesn't work, that sugar glue can, in fact, be messed up and that sometimes things fall down. (But it was still fun.)
 Winter Solstice Gift Opening Time!
Zachary was given an art set that belonged to his great grand-dad. Sophia loved her new pink boots! Mom worked hard helping Alex put his new toys together.
Christmas with Auntie Diane, Uncle Jeff, Ryan, Leanne & Andrew.
What's in the pretty pink bag??? A new leotard and matching tutu! Just what every ballerina needs!
 Sweet Sweet Memories!
