By: Molly Owens, Amanda Onofrio, Kevin Peyman, and Cole Taylor

lkhkkjkfjflj | ¡Hola! me llamo Cole. Every Christmas I either go to North Carolina and visit my cousins or stay at home and they come to my house to celebrate Christmas. After Christmas I try to see every family member and friends to wish them a Merry CHristmas!

 Let the Journey Begin

 Amanda Onofrio

¡Hola! me llamo Amanda. Every Christmas my family and I go to North Carolina where my dads parents live. On Christmas morning we always have donuts from Dunkin' Donuts. After that we all get in a big circle and we each open one present at a time. I enjoy going to their house and also getting to see what gifts everyone is receiving.

I'll be more specific...... I go to New 'York ALL the time. (During winter break) but this time I'm going to Mexico (Cancun)

¡Hola! Me llamo Molly. | In my family, we always stay in town for the holidays. Most of our family lives less than two hours away. Our main tradition that we do is between me and my sisters. We draw each others names from a hat and we buy a gift for that person. Then we open them on Christmas Eve. The next morning we rush downstairs and open the rest of our presents.

Food in Costa Rica | Tamales | Queque Navideño | Pupusa | Vigoron

A very famous food in Costa Rica around the holidays is tamales. They are made with corn flour, potatoes, meat, and vegetables all wrapped in a plantain leaf. Last but not least, Vigoron, is cabbage, tomato, yucca and fried pork rind wrapped in a plaintain leaf.

At night time on the 25th | During Christmas Day and the week after the 25 Costa Rica has a celebration of fireworks, fruits and festivals. On December 26th a horse parade starts at 1 pm. Costa Ricans receive there gifts on Christmas eve instead of Christmas day.
