FC: Not So Bad Christmas | By: Colton Miller
It was the biggest morning of every kids life. CHRISTMAS. It was around 7 a.m and Jimmy woke up and hopped right out of bed and darted downstairs to see all the presents Santa got for him this year.
There was a numerous amount of presents but none of them had the shape or weighed as much as the one present every kid around the block was hoping to get for Christmas.
It had been around an hour of switching off who opens presents and Jimmy hadn't opened one present that gave little kids that one happy grin. Jimmy started getting very upset and pouted for the rest of the snowy Christmas morning.
All the countless hours of researching and making sure he actually wanted the snowboard for Christmas. All to waste, nothing he had dreamed of had come true.
Right when she left Jimmy broke out in tears. No one able to stop him from pouting anymore, he let all his emotions out right when his mom banished with a grin on her face. Jimmy looks up and sees his mom coming out of her room with a huge box.
Right when he saw it he started cracking up, and realized the snowboard had been in his moms room the whole time. Right when she set the present down Jimmy got up and dashed to the box.
He ripped open the wrapping like a dog rips up a toy. He saw a sliver of the box and saw the Burton logo. The box was opened even quicker than the wrapping was ripped off.
The new snowboard was everything to him. The bright colors on the deck of the board glimmered in the bright room. The wood that was used to create the flexibility was perfect.
Everything about the board was better than he'd heard. Nothing could ever replace ever replace this moment in his life.
Right after the box was open, he put on the bindings and went outside and shredded down the biggest hill in the neighborhood. Everyone watched Jimmy as he steam downed to hills with a trail of fire coming off the tail of the snowboard.
Even the best snowboarders around town were there to see Jimmy and his new board shred the white, slushy snow. But right after that day all the snow melted into the ground. But Jimmy had learned he couldn't go into a pouty mood again. He needed to be thankful of what he had got on Christmas morning
