FC: The Towable Ride by James Garrett

The Towable Ride by James Garrett

I've had alot of experiences in my life, but this one is the most exciting. I was at the lake. Just me and my family and some friends.

First we did some wakeboarding, then we ate lunch. | Finally it was time to break out the towable. My dad got the towable out of the boat and blew it up with a pump. Next he put the towable on the lake. After that he said, "Who wants to go on the fastest most wild ride?"

My hand immediately shot up like a rocket. After me, three of my friends' hands went up into the air. So it was decided, me and my friends would go on the fastest, most wild ride my dad ever gave. A few seconds later me and my friends were on the towable, holding onto the handles so we wouldn't fall off. Suddenly we heard the engine of the boat start up. The next thing we knew we heard the engine of the boat roar. One second later we felt a huge yank and we were off.

Ten...twenty...thirty miles per hour until we were practically going 50. Pssssshhhhh! Off the wake we went. Splash! We slapped the water hard. Pssssshhhhh! Off the other wake we went.

When we were in the air we flipped over. Then we dropped straight toward the water, upside down. Tssssshhhhh! Water sprayed in every direction. | Everybody on the boat was so surprised because of what happened. Splash! Splash! My friends fell into the water but I was still holding on to the handles as tight as I could. There was just enough room for me to keep my head above the water. Then I felt myself slowing down. Finally I came to a stop. Next I started to feel myself being pulling toward the boat.

After that my dad flipped the towable right side up. Then my dad told me to get off, but I could not get off because my hands were stuck onto the handles. My dad had to pry my hands off the towable handles. Next I took a look at my hands and they were as red as a ripe strawberry. From moments when I felt like I was flying at the speed of sound to wondering how much longer I could hold on, the towable ride was the most exciting experience of my life.
