In 1943, Intrepid was commissioned and served proudly in World War II. She went on to serve as one of the primary recovery vessels for NASA, three tours of duty off Vietnam, and submarine surveillance in the North Atlantic during the Cold War. Today she continues her service as a premiere educational center and a monument to all who have served our nation in uniform.

Our family boarded the cruise on Sunday and we flew to Belize (first class) to meet them and board the cruise there. We missed the first stop on the cruise but were happy to be able to join our family on the cruise. We flew into Belize, took a cab to our hotel, and got settled into our hotel room. We walked around our hotel and enjoyed a couple of snacks at the hotel restaurant. The next morning, we packed up and waited for the cruise ship with our family to come. Once the cruise ship came, we had to ride in a ferry boat to the ship. After we got settled into our room on the ship, we headed back to the shore to explore Belize

We shared a cab with a couple we met while we were looking for a ride to the zoo. On our way home, a man running toward our car on the opposite side of the street started shooting at a car or person that was behind us. It scared all of us, but we were all fine.
24: Austin loved going down the water slide. Madison would walk with him to the top, Austin would lay on his stomach, wave goodbye to Madison, and go down the slide by himself. Austin ran between me and the entertainment center, right into the curling iron cord. The curling iron fell and burned the right side of his face. We spent the night at New York Presbyterian hospital in the burn unit. The doctor's were concerned because the burn was 2 inches long and 1 inch wide, it blistered, and it was on his face. The nurses cleaned the burn and gave him a protein drink to help the healing.
