January | January 2, 2011 Savannah got to go to Primary for the first time! She was so excited, and loved it! Mom wanted a picture in front of the Primary door, but since we have 1pm church, it wasn't possible. That's also why the crazy picture above was taken at home. | She is holding her Book of Mormon | Mom was glad to still feel needed by her "little" girl later that evening when Savy fell asleep in her lap.

February | We bought a pass to Thanksgiving Point for the year. Got to play at the dinosaur museum. Notice the sign by where Melissa is digging! | Bird watching during the winter with binoculars

November until March Savannah was able to participate in a Gymnastics class on Monday mornings. She loved it! All except the front flip over. | March

We had a lot of snow this year!! | April 3rd we woke up to 6 in of snow. Before conference Savy and Mike shoveled all of the snow into a huge mountain! It helped get some energy out in between conference sessions! The snow pile didn't disappear until a week later. | Taller than the shovel | Savy climbing the mtn and getting a face full of snow. Whoops! | Savannah LOVES The Lion King movie. The mtn became "Pride Rock" and she is standing at the top "roaring." She frequently pretends to be Simba or other characters and roars or sings the songs at the top of her voice!!!! | April

Saturday, 4/23/2011 Easter Egg hunt at Orem Recreation Center's field. An"egg"citing race to collect as much candy as you can in an easter basket! We dyed eggs earlier in the week, and the the Easter Bunny stopped by our house the next morning, bringing lot's of yummy treats! | Here with her good friend Riley Cook who came to the hunt with us.

So as Spring finally blossomed we were anxious to celebrate it's arrival by heading to Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival | Nelsons Grove park | Baby Geese | Rolling down the big hill | I picked one just for you!

We went up to the Children's Discovery Garden one day with Andrea and Aiden. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved playing in the water there by Noah's Ark | I enjoy this picture of Andrea (pregnant) and caring for Aiden under the shadow of Noah's Wife!! | Riding the bear at the Children's Garden | Walking in the river with no shoes on | Andrea and Aiden Cluff | May

June was a busy month! We started off the month by traveling to California to attend Shane and Kelsea's wedding in Escondido on June 10th. We stayed in a new house right on Del Mar beach. With the rest of the Summers family (all that were still at home). The patio opened right up onto the sand of the beach. It was picturesque. Unfortunately, we learned that we had by accident deleted all of our pictures of this trip!! We all got a little sun, and a lot of sand. We had a great time dancing at the wedding, which included the ceremony, dinner and reception all in one evening. Savannah loved California, and asks often if we can go back. Except that it "took a long time to get there!" | June

2 weeks later, back in Utah on June 24th we celebrated Jaimi and Trevors wedding up at the Bountiful temple Savannah and I wandered around the beautiful temple grounds during the sealing and Sav loved most of all the reflecting pools and fountain! She also seemed to want to flip over the bar more than keeping her dress down!! That evening we attended a reception in their honor as well. | Yes, I tried bangs!

One of our new 4th of July traditions is to go see the hot air balloons. It is magical to watch them all rise up into the cool morning air. Sav's favorite was the pig. There was a special appearance by Darth Vader (both a balloon and in person). | Sav loves the fire truck and helicopter there each year too!

In the evening we went to the "Cul-de-sac of fire!" A lot of fireworks were set off! Sav liked to see the burst of colors, but not the loud noises. She covered her ears most of the evening. We went home early due to rain! | In the morning we went to the Provo Freedom Festival Parade. Sav is waving her flag on top of Dad's shoulders so she can see!

Perfect little paddle for Savannah

The annual Maine blueberry hunt!!! Picking the "super fruit" out in the bog behind Carl Abbotts house is a must when back in Maine at Blueberry harvest time! I remember years of moaning that Dad would make us go endure the mosquito's to get them. Now that I'm grown I look forward to the activity. Something about the quite, beautiful setting and good company and conversation!!

Summer Projects... | So, after years of talking about tiling our bathroom floor, 4th of July weekend did it!!! Melissa started by removing the old "sticky tiles" that we had used for a while, then slowly scraped off the original linoleum (blue and white checkered) down to the bare cement floor. | Our friend Orlin came over to help show Mike the tricks of the trade and together they worked past 2 in the morning with mortar and tile. | It had to sit for 24 hrs to dry. We then put the toilet back on for the week! (Thank goodness for the pool bathrooms) and the next weekend we grouted the tile and it is Beautiful!!

At the end of the summer our good friends the Marshall's were replacing their carpet with tile throughout their house. We were able to put that carpet into our condo, as the carpet was still brand new! It took a full Saturday. We rented tools from Home Depot and watched a few You Tube videos. Then we went to work with the kicker and stretcher. A really fun, and busy day. | We were so excited to throw away the old royal blue carpet. After we had laid the carpet we steam cleaned it, and it was as good as brand new! | A look at the mess in the front part of our house

Festival of the Trees | Savannah and mom went to the "Christmas Tree Festival." Savannah had a wonderful time seeing all the beautiful Christmas trees, eating goodies, and playing in the kid area. In the kid area there are sparkle wands, face painting, a variety of crafts, you can call an elf on the phone, and be put inside a giant bubble! One of the best parts of the trip though is getting to see Santa and Mrs. Claus!!! Savannah would only sit on Mrs. Claus' lap this year, but she was so excited to see them!

Such a happy girl!! Savannah loved the pink princess Christmas tree. Mom had to take a picture of this plate, and send it to Grandma Frappier
