1: January | January 2, 2011 Savannah got to go to Primary for the first time! She was so excited, and loved it! Mom wanted a picture in front of the Primary door, but since we have 1pm church, it wasn't possible. That's also why the crazy picture above was taken at home. | She is holding her Book of Mormon | Mom was glad to still feel needed by her "little" girl later that evening when Savy fell asleep in her lap.

8: June was a busy month! We started off the month by traveling to California to attend Shane and Kelsea's wedding in Escondido on June 10th. We stayed in a new house right on Del Mar beach. With the rest of the Summers family (all that were still at home). The patio opened right up onto the sand of the beach. It was picturesque. Unfortunately, we learned that we had by accident deleted all of our pictures of this trip!! We all got a little sun, and a lot of sand. We had a great time dancing at the wedding, which included the ceremony, dinner and reception all in one evening. Savannah loved California, and asks often if we can go back. Except that it "took a long time to get there!" | June

Something about the quite, beautiful setting and good company and conversation!!
18: Summer Projects... | So, after years of talking about tiling our bathroom floor, 4th of July weekend did it!!! Melissa started by removing the old "sticky tiles" that we had used for a while, then slowly scraped off the original linoleum (blue and white checkered) down to the bare cement floor. | Our friend Orlin came over to help show Mike the tricks of the trade and together they worked past 2 in the morning with mortar and tile. | It had to sit for 24 hrs to dry. We then put the toilet back on for the week! (Thank goodness for the pool bathrooms) and the next weekend we grouted the tile and it is Beautiful!!
19: At the end of the summer our good friends the Marshall's were replacing their carpet with tile throughout their house. We were able to put that carpet into our condo, as the carpet was still brand new! It took a full Saturday. We rented tools from Home Depot and watched a few You Tube videos. Then we went to work with the kicker and stretcher. A really fun, and busy day. | We were so excited to throw away the old royal blue carpet. Savannah had a wonderful time seeing all the beautiful Christmas trees, eating goodies, and playing in the kid area. In the kid area there are sparkle wands, face painting, a variety of crafts, you can call an elf on the phone, and be put inside a giant bubble! One of the best parts of the trip though is getting to see Santa and Mrs. Claus!!! Savannah would only sit on Mrs. Claus' lap this year, but she was so excited to see them!
