2: "You never leave someone behind, you take a part of | 8 | 9 | 11 | Evan Wahl, The Student of the Game I am grateful for the opportunity I've had to coach you for the past four years. My time with you made me a better coach and a better person. You've always been a student of the game and a student of life, and that's why I am absolutely certain you will be successful in whatever you choose to do. Although I will miss your leadership and athletic prowess on Lahser's ball field. I am excited to see what you will achieve in the future. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, your effort, and your positive attitude. Coach - Scott Long | Luke Dauch, The Natural You've always been a natural and the most physically gifted ball player I've ever coached, exhibiting all five tools that a great baseball player needs. But, in the four years I've worked with you, I enjoyed coaching you the most this year. Your leadership skills rose to another level, and every aspect of your game blossomed, especially your outfield play. I will miss your even-keel approach to life, yet I can't wait to read about you turning Northwestern into a winner. Thanks for all that you've done! Coach - Scott Long | Nick Emery, The Ultimate Competitor What a baseball player you've become! Your growth as a pitcher, hitter, and outfielder has been monumental. I hope you realize how contagious your competitive nature has been for every single guy in our program! With that type of demeanor, I am certain that you will conquer anything you decide to undertake in life. Thanks for being a phenomenal team player, a great listener, and a team comedian. I will miss your presence at Lahser immensely. Coach - Scott Long

3: them with you and leave a part of yourself behind." | 13 | 22 | Lee Padilla, The Smooth Operator I can't even begin to describe how much you've impressed me with your growth from freshman year to now. As a young man, a student, and a ball player. You've made tremendous strides. Especially over the past two years, I've greatly appreciated your thoughtful insight whenever I asked you about matters related to our team. Just like the way you played second base this season, stay smooth in all that you do! Thank you for giving me the chance to be your coach. Coach - Scott Long | Glen Gruber, The Workhorse You came to Lahser at the perfect time, bringing confidence, grit, and a tireless work ethic. Your positive attitude and leadership has been a blessing to me and the baseball program. I will miss your passion in the weight room and on the ball field next year at Lahser, but I know you will make the same positive difference in every single person's life you encounter as you move forward to college. Thanks for being a game changer for the Lahser baseball program. Coach - Scott Long | Coach Long, The Boss Dear Coach, As seniors, we look at this year maybe in a different way than the underclassmen. Even though there have been several coaching changes in the past four years, there remains one constant; each coach did it for the love of the game and the players. We have appreciated each one for what positive energy and knowledge they gave to the team and how it helped us grow and mature into the young men we are today. Sports teach many lessons that we will use after we graduate from Lahser HS. We thank you, Coach Long, for these lessons, your support, and dedication. We are lucky to have had you as a role model. We will always look back with pride and appreciation. GO KNIGHTS! The Seniors, Class of 2011

You are missed...... | Alex Nault, The Sparkplug Although you weren't able to finish your senior season due to your arm injury, I wanted to let you know I appreciated all of the energy and enthusiasm you brought to Lahser's baseball program. You were the first player I extensively used Right View Pro with (the hitting analysis software). During that summer in which we worked together every morning at 5:45AM, I learned how to be a better hitting coach and I learned how great of a person you are.
