S: Tour Guide

BC: A Brief History of Spitily- Spitily was formed in 1953, by the Treaty of McLaughlin, to settle a dispute between Spain and Italy. The style of the fifties stuck around, and has now come back in style. Since the country is so new, it does not have a lot of its own culture. Its language is a mixture of pidgin Spanish and pidgin Italian, Spatalian. The Spatalians have had one civil war, in 1982. The war lasted a total of four days and two people were killed.

FC: A Visitor's Guide to Spitily | (With a Brief History) | Karina S. Azeem S. Mr. McLaughlin

1: Architecture- Spitily's architecture is best described as modern industrial. There is very little arable land in Spitily, so every space is utilized. Their land is used for office/residential buildings, and their economy is almost entirely import-based.

2: Television- Television is watched religiously in Spitily, but only for sports. Swimming and basketball, to be exact.

3: Film- The only kind of movie watched in Spitily is action movies. No romantic comedies, no teen vampire sagas. All action, all the time.

4: Clothing- The people of Spitily wear clothing of the fifties style. Pressed suits with pocket hankies are common, as are full, knee length skirts/dresses, sprayed hair, gloves, Floral print, furs, parasols, fedoras, and fashion jewelry.

5: Music- Rap and pop are the two main types of music listened to in Spitily. Cultural globalization has resulted in the almost complete destruction of folk culture in this country, so folk music is extremely hard to come by.

6: Food- Due to their heritage, the Spitalians eat a fusion of Spanish and Italian foods. These fusion foods include spaghetti tacos, garlic bread dipped in salsa, and jalapeño pizza. Of course, more popular foods such as burgers and fries are also available.

7: Social Interaction- People in Spitily have a mixture of very hot blood, being descended from both Spanish and Italian. By way of greeting, they punch each other in the stomach, to show dominance. The Spitalian government is taking steps to dissolve this sometimes harmful greeting, but it is slow going.

8: Religion- The Spitalians don't follow a hard-set religion, instead, they choose to worship in a more open ended way, by worshiping the stars and planets. This worship is done twice a day, at dawn and dusk. At dawn, the worship is toward the east, the rising sun. The morning prayer is for well being during the day. At dusk, the worship is toward the west, the setting sun. This prayer is a thanks for all blessings received during the day.

9: Folklore- Spitily's folklore has been replaced slowly and completely by the stories of other countries. Their lack of folklore is folklore in itself.
