S: Summer at Paul's

FC: What We See

Greg Herschell and Paul on the 4th of July this year. Greg is making a fashion statement with his bow tie. We will always be grateful to Greg and Jessie for the Molly. Who is getting her back scratched. Her way!

The full moon rises over the water and we watch from the chairs or the pool. This camera was a gift from Paul and it takes wonderful pictures of Madame Luna.

Egrets always mean the summer to those of us living on the water. We had never seen one in a tree. On top of the tree sat this regal snowy egret. Magnificent!!

There is always something going on in the sky at the house. One afternoon across the bay I saw a shape approaching. After awhile I saw that it was a blimp. Summer advertising. Plus a full Moon rising over the bay.

Night time is as good as day time for the Molly-Licious . She loves to swim and she loves her ball!!

It's not just the summer days that entice our gaze, the vista is ever changing. You live on the water, and minute by minute the colors and textures change. Irene gave us a visit, and turned the world gray and windy.

The camera doesn't convey how high the water rose. All the grasses are brown now, flowers all gone, from the salt water. They should return.

Winter brings a beauty of it's own Cold, crisp, paw prints. Molly's paws, deer paws, our paws.

The interiors sometimes change as well. A little sprucing up was in order

The inside has changed a bit. Not much, but a lil' dab of paint goes a long way!! | We call it the shack. It seems fitting. Good fires, well a little smoky, in the winter, fabulous fall breezes, with the sounds of children laughing across the bay.

Man cannot live without TV, woman can, but man, cannot. We also honor the Navy with our antique clipper ship. Rigging intact, sails ready to be filled with breezes from the window!

It's not just the shack that's had a bit of updating, so has Walter, with his new chair!!

We see and celebrate the seasons wherever we are. Always the view is fluid and beautifully quicksilver.
