S: a wrinkle in time by Madeline L'engle

FC: Created by Karlie Gayler

Who knew that a different universe could change everything even kids. A Wrinkle in Time By Madeline L’engle is a way to prove that anything could happen. She takes you on a journey full of emotion. This book shows that no matter what happens you will be ok.

Meg goes on a Magical Journey to find her father with her brother Charles Wallace. She also takes her boyfriend Calvin. Madeline L’engle wrote this book to entertain the reader. Meg is about 13 years old she has a boyfriend named Calvin he is about 14.Charles Wallace is about 7 years old. I have estimated these ages based on behavior. When Meg was 7 years old she found Charles Wallace laying on their doorstep her parents raised him like their own. Charles Wallace and Meg’s father went missing when Charles Wallace was 2 ever since Meg has always wondered where he might be. Charles Wallace found three ladies, Mrs. which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who. The three ladies send them on an amazing journey through space and time to find the one they love the most, their father. Waking up one spring morning Meg not knowing today would be the day she finds her father. She lives in a two-story house with an attic that she shares with Charles Wallace. Her twin brothers and her mom sleep on the first and second story. The twins have a garden that is as green as a tree in summer that is full of veggies.

The main character is Meg she is the person that shows the authors purpose. Entertainment and adventure are the purpose of the book. Meg plays a big part in finding her father. She makes most of the decisions. Meg changes emotionally throughout the book because she finds her father and she feels like she has filled a gap in her life. Her dad was everything to her but one day he just disappeared and she felt like she couldn’t survive without him.

An important scene in the book is when Charles Wallace is taken over by The Thing and Calvin saves him. It is important because Charles Wallace wouldn’t have made it back to earth because The Thing would have taken him as a slave. Calvin is one of the most heroic characters in the book because he will help anyone in any situation.

My favorite scene is when Charles Wallace asks if Mrs. Who left Meg behind after the time travel. I liked this part because Madeline Leangle described it with such amazing details like when she said “the trees were lashed into a violent frenzy.” This part in the book shows Megs character in the book.

If I were a new character I would probably be another problem in their way in Camazotz. I would come in and demand to see there registrations to be in the place. I would also be in the business with The Thing and capture the three kids. The main problem probably would have taken a lot longer to get solved.

Calvin | Meg | Charles Walace

"dad" Meg said with tears running down her face.
