1: A is for alphabet agencies | Government agencies that come to be known by the first initals of their names. they were established by congress such a Tennessee valley

2: The Alamo was built in 1724. it was used as a fort in the battle. It was originally called San Antonio De Valero | B is for battle of the alamo

3: C is for Comanche | The Comanche's were nomadic Indians. their clothing was made of bison fur or buckskin. their terrory in Texas is now called Oklahoma.

4: D is for Texas Declaration of Independence | The Texas Declaration of Independence took place on march 2, 1835. 59 men go to sign it including Sam Houston & Charles B Stewart.

5: E is for Empresarios | Empresarios are people who are land agents or land contractors.

6: F is for federalism

7: G is for Golaid massacre | Golaid massacre took place on March 27,1836. General Jose Urrea lead the Mexican troops. general James W. Fannin lead the Texan troops.

8: H is for Horses | horses were brought here by the spainiards during the 1400-1500. most transpiration during that time was walking,but when the horses came everybody wanted one.

9: I is for Dictator | A dictator is a leader who controls an area through absolute power. Hitler was a dictator that rued over Germany.

10: J is for Jumano | the jumano indians were a very important group in the 16,17,and18th centuries. the jumano's were nomadic bison hunters and traders.

11: K is for Karakawa | the karakawa's lived along the coastal planes. the karakawa's a re famous for their long bow made out of wood ad bone.

12: L is for Mirabeau.B. Lamar | Lamar was born on August 16,1798 and died on December 19,1859. he was the second president of Texas, and also the father of education.

13: M is for Mission | The French and the Spanish were the first to build Missons. the very first mission was Corpas Christi De yslata.

14: Nacogdoches settled in 1716 and is said to be the oldest town in Texas. The mission and town was named for the Nacogdoches Indians. | N is for Nacogdoches

15: O is for Oil | oil was discovered in Texas on January 10,1901. Texas produces more oil than any other state in the U.S.

16: P is for pension | A wage paid to a person following his or her retirement from service

17: Q is for Quarantine | enforced isolation of patients suffering from a contagious disease in order to prevent the spread of disease.

18: A building Equipped to refine process products such as oils,metals or sugar. | R is for Refinery

19: S is for Stephan F. Austin | Stephan Austin was born on November 3, 1793. He ran for president in September 1863 and lost to Burnet.

20: T is for Willam B. Travis | Travis was born in south Carolina on August 9, 1809. He was the Texas commander at the battle of the Alamo.

21: u is for unemployment | Loss of jobs having fewer jobs available than the people needing them.

22: a member of a volunter committie organized to punish criminals | v is for vigalint

23: w is for wild catter | an oil opperator who drills for wells in teratory not known to contain oil
