Hello... Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We are Ray and Robyn from New Jersey, and we are very excited to start a family! We know you love your baby very much, and we are grateful for your courage and commitment in considering an adoption plan. We hope that you will come to believe what we already know in our hearts -- we can provide your child a loving, secure, happy home. | We can provide your child the loving, secure, happy home that you imagine.

Why we want to Adopt We knew we wanted to start a family shortly after we were married and look forward to parenting a child as one of the great joys of life. Our three years of infertility have strengthened our relationship and we are closer than ever as we begin our adoption journey. We can't wait to become parents, and we feel adoption will give us the opportunity to share our love, stability, and happiness with a child. | After searching for years, we finally found each other!

Our Story (by Ray) | Robyn and I didn't meet until our late 30's down at the Jersey Shore (OK, fine - it was an eHarmony date and sadly, I had no six-pack situation to fall back on). I spent my post-graduate years building a career by starting healthcare companies and otherwise just having fun, so before we met I had been a pretty committed bachelor. As we began to spend more time together during our first few months of dating we traveled to the places that made us who we are. Robyn took me to Colorado where she lived in her 20's. She was my tour guide as we hiked the mountains for hours while I snapped some great pictures - That's us at the foothills of the Flatiron Mountains in Boulder in 2007. We drove from town to town devouring burritos and taking in the rodeo. To complete the trip, we skied Vail and I got to show off my moves on the moguls and bowls. Whenever I get really stressed, I think back to us standing on those cold, majestic peaks together and it helps me to keep going. In return, a few months later I took her on one of many trips to my adopted home state of Florida where we walked the historic streets of St. Augustine and roughed it in a leaky tent for a rainy night on Cumberland Island, where the braying of wild horses in the distance sent shivers up our spines. The next day, waterlogged and hungry, we retreated to a B&B on nearby Amelia Island and got cleaned up. We walked up the beach to a sunny and secluded spot and I asked her to marry me. A year later on August 30, 2008 we tied the knot in a big Catholic ceremony.

Robyn talks about Ray I truly hit the jackpot when I met Ray, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. He is kind, smart, funny, well-educated and comes from a loving, stable family. Most importantly, he'll be a committed, loving father, and kids adore him! He has an energy about him that draws people in, both kids and adults. My niece often says, "I just love Uncle 'Ray Ray' so much!" And so do I. | What Ray loves to do Like most guys, I can't sit still for long and when the weekends come along, I'll usually grab Robyn and some friends to do something, whether its sports, motorcycles or travel. I became a volunteer firefighter when I moved to NJ and joined a brotherhood of guys who age from 16 to 60. We teach and learn from each other on every level, giving as much as we get. | Ray's Career I was fortunate that my Dad put me and my 3 siblings through undergrad without loans. So I did a B.A. in Chemistry from Amherst College, then got a job in healthcare. From there I went on to grad school and did an MS in Pharmaceutics before getting the bug to start new companies. With a great support network of family, friends and mentors, I've been able to focus on taking my career as far as it can go as an entrepreneur and currently work with startup healthcare companies as a consultant while looking for the next big thing.

Ray talks about Robyn I've had strong women role models in my life that were nurses, so when I met her I was really impressed that Robyn was making the mid-career shift to become one, too. Robyn was studious and committed; earnest about what she hoped for in life, like a healthy relationship, the chance to raise a family and to be self-sufficient. She also had a wonderful sunny, unflagging outlook having survived with dignity the inevitable disappointments and stress that life can bring. I love and admire her inner strength. | What Robyn loves to Do In my free time, I enjoy relaxing, going to the gym, bike riding, and running. Ray is a tennis player, and I recently started taking lessons from him. We also enjoy skiing during the winter and hiking and going to the beach in the summer. We like to take one long vacation a year, whenever possible. | Robyn's Education & Career After high school, I attended Rowan University in NJ and received a BA in Communications and Advertising. I worked as a Marketing Coordinator for around 12 years, but switched careers in 2009 and became a Registered Nurse. It was a huge career change for me, but well worth it. It's a tough but rewarding job. Better yet, the work schedule gives me the flexibility I’ll need to be a Mom! | Robyn & her co-workers at the hospital

What we Like to do as a Couple Spending time with family and friends is always important, & we like to mix things up and do a lot of fun things: travel, go to the movies, go out to dinner, see concerts and Broadway shows. Recently we made a barrel of wine with friends right here in NJ! Who knew? Our niece, Kira, is very involved with horseback riding and softball, so we make time to cheer her on in competition! | Enjoying some famous Maine lobster during our summer vacation. | Taking a break during our ski trip to Vermont | Robyn at the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, one of our favorite cities! | New York City at Christmastime

What We're Hoping For in Adoption We would love to get to know you, if you would like. If you are looking for an open adoption, we are definitely open to that. If you would like to meet us, we would feel honored to meet with you and spend some time together. However, if you are looking for more of a closed adoption, we certainly respect your privacy. We are in a strong, stable place in our lives and are here to support you anyway we can, at the level you are most comfortable.

Parenting and Education We believe that children should be raised through love and understanding, guidance and teaching, plenty of patience, and a good dose of humor. We will raise our child with Christian values through our faith and church, promoting kindness and respect. It is important to teach children from the earliest age the wonders of learning and the value of family. Above all, we want our child to be happy, well-adjusted and have fun, positive experiences. Our child will be encouraged to pursue his or her dreams; to become unique & special. Because the importance of higher education is essential to lifelong happiness, we have already started a college savings fund. We'll introduce our child to new adventures ~ music class, swim lessons, skiing, baseball, soccer, etc. We also enjoy simple things like going to the park, walking the dog, visiting friends and family & hanging out at home. As a family, we would love the opportunity to share these experiences, and more importantly all of the unconditional love that we have, with a new baby.

Our home is two stories, with 3 big bedrooms and a backyard patio for entertaining family & friends. | We live in a family-oriented neighborhood, with a huge park next door, the Jersey Shore and Great Adventure within a short drive. We have a community pool & tennis courts within walking distance. | Our Home and Community

A mother duck and her ducklings outside our front door! | We have a bright, cheery garden full of trees, plants and flowers.

Our Family and Friends We are a family that loves to have fun! We spend a lot of time together – whether it is just the two of us, or if we’re with our extended family. Ray comes from a large Filipino family and has one brother, Vince, and two sisters, Ann and Jeanne. Robyn has a younger sister, Cheryl who is a single mom. We are fortunate enough to have two nieces - Lucia and Kira; and two nephews - Augustus and Ignatius (Auggie and Nate) who we love to pieces. Even though the boys live in Chicago, we work together to make sure the kids see and get to know each other throughout the year. When our families get together the children all enjoy playing together. Holidays, birthdays and special occasions are best when spent with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Boating at Candlestick Lake, CT | We couldn't get enough, except for Nate. Too much water in his nose. | Summer, kids and water never fail.

Our Dog This is our 5 year old dog, Buddy. If you haven't noticed, he's half chihuahua (love those ears) and half mini-pinscher. He's loving, playful and great with kids! | Our niece, Kira, can't wait to introduce her new cousin to her pony, Freedom, and share good times on her grandmother's farm. | Our Furry Friends

Our promise to you We are grateful to you for taking the time to look through our profile. If your heart leads you to us, we promise to be the best parents that we can be. As a couple and individually, we have a lot of love to give and can guarantee you that this child will receive it all. We have strong family ties and this child will know from day one that he or she has an extended family to love them as well. We will provide a safe, fun-filled home. This child will be afforded a life that will allow them to explore who they are and what they stand for. We promise to instill creativity, as well as responsibility. Our hope for you is that you are at peace with your decision and know that this child will be loved more than anyone could imagine.
