4: A | &M | Texas A&M is a coeducational research university. It is located in College Station, Texas. The school opened on October 4, 1876. A&M stands for "Agriculture and Mechanical". The sports teams are known as the Aggies. | University

5: B | ob Bullock | The Bob Bullock Museum was named after the Texas Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock. The museum has 3 floors of interactive exhibits, IMAX Theater and a special effects theater.The museum is located in Austin a few blocks north of the Texas State Capitol. 6: C | orpus Christi | The U.S.S Lexington aircraft carrier is in Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi is located by the Gulf of Mexico. The Texas State Aquarium is among the many wonderful places in Corpus Christi. The beach consists of various creatures. Columbus' ship Pinta is in the Corpus Christi museum of science and history. | City

7: D | allas | The college SMU is in Dallas. It is ninth-largest city and part of the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the nation. It covers 343 square miles. Dallas has a population of 1,299,543. It attracts worldwide travelers. | City

8: E | nchanted Rock | Landform | Enchanted Rock is made of pink granite. It is 1,642 acres and located in Fredericksburg. People hike, climb and camp on Enchanted Rock. The rock is one billion years old and is one of the oldest exposed Rocks in North America. The rock is on the border of Gillespie and Llano counties.

9: F | iesta Texas | Recreation | Fiesta Texas is a fun amusement park. There are restaurants and beverages. There are at least 30-40 rides in Fiesta Texas. There is also a water park that you can go to.The park was open in 1992.

10: G | uadalupe River | Water | River tubing is one of the most popular things you can do on the Guadalupe River. Normally the flow is between 100 and 300 cubic feet per second. It is one of the most visited rivers in Texas. The river's flow fluctuates often with the water release rate from the Canyon dam turbines.There are also limestone banks of the Guadalupe River which are shaded by bald cypress and pecan trees.

11: H | ill Country Hyatt | Recreation | The Hill Country Hyatt Resort is located in San Antonio, Texas. There are 500 guest rooms at the Hyatt. At the resort they have a spa called the Windflower spa that you can go relax in. They also have a ranch house decor. You can also enjoy playing a game of 27 holes of championship golf.

12: I | Recreation | nks Lake Skiing | Inks Lake covers 837 acres in the chain of lakes called the Highland Lakes. It is a constant level lake. There are 1,200 acres of parks surround much of the lake. Boat ramps are available for visiting skiers. The water is clear enough for scuba divers!

13: J | Landform | uniperCanyon (Big Bend) | The mountains drops from an elevation of seven thousand feet to the desert floor. This is some of the most remote corners of the High Chisos Mountains. Only primitive camping is available here and you can only get there in a big 4 wheel vehicle. There are no formal facilities due to the rugged desert climate. Juniper Canyon is in Big Bend National Park.

14: K | City | ingsville | Kingsville is the county seat of Kleberg County, Texas. The city is named after Richard King, owner of the King Ranch. Texas A&M University - Kingsville is located there. The population in 2010 was 26,213 people. One of the main tourist attractions is bird watching.

15: L | ubbock | City | Lubbock is home to almost 30,000 students due to the university called Texas Tech. Texas Tech's campus covers 1,839 acres which places it in one of the largest campuses in the United States. Another widley visted tourist attraction in Lubbock is the National Ranching Heritage Center. While most Texan styles of ranching have changed over the century, the National Ranching Heritage Center tries to keep it original. Also, Mackenzie Park is one of the most visited because of its unusual features of sculpture garden and disc golf.

16: M | Landform | ount Bonnell | Mount Bonnell is one of the highest points in Austin and is also one of the oldest tourist attractions. There is a pavillion at the top for viewing the scenery. It is at an elevation of 775 feet. The park was transferred to the city of Austin in 1939. The trail is composed of dirt and gravel. The park was named in honor of Frank M. Covert.

17: N | eches River | Water | The Neches River rises just east of Colfax in eastern Van Zandt County. The river flows southeast for 416 miles to its mouth on Sabine Lake, on the northeastern edge of Port Arthur. It has a drainage area estimated at 10,011 square miles. Abundant rainfall in the basin results in a flow of some 6,000,000 acre-feet per year. One of the major tributaries is the Angelina River.

18: O | Water | nion Creek | The population of Onion Creek is approximately 1,544 people. Onion Creek is positioned 30.13 degrees north of the equator and 97.78 degrees west of the prime meridian. The creek flows throughout the year. It begins in Dripping Springs and empties into the Colorado River, 8 miles downstream of Town Lake. The Onion Creek watershed passes through the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone where water travels through caves and sinkholes to “recharge” the aquifer. In 1935, two UT students thought they spotted a sea monster in Onion Creek but it was a mosasaurus and now in the Texas Memorial Museum.

19: P | alo Duro Canyon | Landform | Palo Duro Canyon State Park opened on July 4, 1934. The Canyon is 120 miles long, as much as 20 miles wide, and has a maximum depth of more than 800 feet deep. The elevation at its rim is 3,500 feet above sea level.The Canyon was formed by water erosion from the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River. The Palo Duro Canyon is often claimed to be the second largest Canyon in the U.S. and is in the Texas Panhandle.

20: Q | Water | Lake uitman | Lake Quitman is located about 5 miles north of Quitman, Texas.The Quitman Reservoir is fed by close creeks.The Lake covers about 814 acres of land. Its maximum depth is up 25 feet. Common fish species in the lake include the largemouth bass, the bluegill, and the redear sunfish. It is a tributary of the Sabine River.

21: R | io Grande | Water | The Rio Grande flows from its headwaters in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado, near Brownsville. It is 1,865 miles. For 1,250 miles, the Rio Grande is the boundary between the United States and Mexico. In a remote stretch in west Texas, the river makes a curve to the northeast to form the “Big Bend.” It is here that the wild character of the river lives on.

22: S | University | MU | SMU is a nationally ranked private university with seven degree-granting schools. Students come from all 50 states. Approximately 90 foreign countries represent diverse economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. SMU itself is a gateway to the global community. They offer access to 145 education abroad programs as well as a unique campus in Northern New Mexico. Their mascot is the Mustangs and their colors are red, white and blue.

23: T | CU | University | TCU is committed to creating a world-class, values-centered university experience. They have spent $515 million on construction in recent years. It is a vibrant living and learning community.The mentoring faculty help develop leadership skills. The college endowment is listed 62nd among colleges and universities in the United States. TCU is located in Fort Worth, Texas and their mascot is the Horned Frogs.

24: U | University | T | UT was founded in 1883. It is one of the largest and most respected universities in the nation. UT is a public research university in Austin, Texas with more than 50,000 students. It has students from every state and more than 100 countries. There are 24,000 staff and faculty members. UT has several museums and libraries. Its mascot is the Texas Longhorn.

25: V | intage Flying Museum | Historical Importance | The Vintage Flying Museum is located in Fort Worth, Texas. The museum contains over 20 aircrafts stored in a World War Two B-29 Hangar. The centerpiece of the collection is a Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress. Its nickname is "Chuckie". Additional displays include a dedicated reciprocal and jet engine room.

26: W | City | aco | Waco was founded in 1849 along the Brazos River. Waco is located between Dallas and Austin on Interstate Highway 35. Waco has big city advantages without big city hassles.The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum is proudly sponsored by Waco city. Over 120,000 people call Waco home with over 100,000 more in the surrounding areas. Waco is home to Baylor Universiy.

27: X | IT | Historical Importance | The XIT museum is located in Dalhart, Texas. It is sponsored by the Dallam-Hartley County Historical Association. The museum documents the history of the XIT Ranch as well as the local history of the Dallam-Hartley County area. The XIT Museum contains exhibits on the XIT Ranch and ranching equipment, including wagons and several period rooms such as a wedding Chapel. The museum also hosts changing exhibits on various collections of hats, guns, cameras and other historical items.

28: Y | Historical Importance | orktown Museum | The museum was founded in 1966 in the city of Yorktown. The city is named after Captain James York who died while defending the town from Indians in 1848. The town was founded to create a shorter route from the Indianola port to San Antonio. The Yorktown Museum features a covered wagon, furniture and relics from the past. The Yorktown Museum is currently known as The Yorktown Community Cultural Center.

29: Z | ilker Park | Recreation | Zilker park is located at 2100 Barton Springs Road. Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered "Austin's most loved park." This 351 acre park is home to a variety of recreation opportunities and special events for the individual or the whole family.In 1918, A.J. Zilker deeded the 35 acres surrounding Barton Springs to the City of Austin. In 1932, Zilker agreed to give the military school established during the First World War an additional 330 acres.
