FC: The Anglo-saxon Men and Lives of Men
1: FOOD The Saxons grew wheat, oats, rye and barl . They also made cereal, beer and made it with honey. Honey was the only sweetener . They ate pigs which was eaten the most. but they also had goats and sheep and horses.oxen was used to work on the farm.
2: Farming most of the Saxons made a living by farming
3: ''Peasants' usually shared the land between one another so the bad and good land was shared equally
4: Tribes Land was separated into shires ''classes' the rich were called the Danelaw or wappentakes. at
5: The Danelaw"s or wappentake"s ruled over at least a hundred men the men consisted of farmers and warriors who kept the kingdom running.
6: Traveling The anglo-saxons used trade routes usually the main ones because if your were to travel down the wrong path you would be hurt or inured by people trying to protect there land. therefor you would want to make a lot of noise in order to alert people that you are not out to harm them.
7: Religion At first they were paganist where they believed in many god but later on they turned to christianism
8: Clothing They usually had three types of fabric the rich mainly used silk
9: The poor wore wool or a little linen. the poorest outfits consisted of mainly wool even the under garments.middle class consisted of all three fabrics
10: The dead when a member in the anglo,s culture dies they burry there dead with there belongings and things they used most of the mens were burried with spears knifes and sword this suggests that they were the hunter and fighter during there life
