S: Bear Creek High School - 2012 Track & Field

BC: I always loved running... it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs. -Jesse Owens (American track and field athlete, Olympic Gold Medalist. His long jump world record stood for 25 years.)

1: The glory of sport comes from dedication, determination and desire. Achieving success and personal glory in athletics has less to do with wins and losses than it does with learning how to prepare yourself so that at the end of the day, you know that there was nothing more you could have done to reach your ultimate goal. Jackie Joyner-Kersee (Most decorated female Olympian in track and field events: three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. She competed in four Olympics in a row: 1984, 1988, 1992, and 1996.)

3: PORT CITY INVITATIONAL Bear Creek High School March 10, 2012 | My thoughts before a big race are usually pretty simple. I tell myself, get out of the blocks, run your race, stay relaxed. He won numerous gold and silver medals.)
