Foreward Obviously, no book can capture the entire experience of being a Beta Sig. That being said, this scrapbook is an attempt to depict life at 525 University. I know that I have personally enjoyed looking at scrapbooks from years past, and I hope that this will do the same for future Beta Sigs. -Adam Griebel, Historian

The Three S's | Spiritual Scholastic Social | Beta Sigma Psi broadly categorizes all activities under what we call the three S's. The following pages show how we attempt to live by these principles.
Spiritual | Pastor Barton leads the weekly Bible study | Beta Sigs helped out at the Kids Against Hunger event hosted at St. James Lutheran Church | Adam Griebel serves as an Elder and Lay Minister at University Lutheran | John Frey prepares Communion, part of his duties as Deacon Chair. John and several other brothers serve on the ULU church council
Scholastic | The fall semester was solid academically, with the chapter ranking 6th of 40 fraternities, beating the all-mens and all-IFC average. | Jon and Joel hit the books in the Moose Room for study tables. Members are required to attend a certain number of study table hours per week.
Social | ...and Joel is definitely CMT | Nick is BET... | Great Gatsby party with Twin Pines. Daniel approves. | Easy there, Micah | Breakfast Club | 4th annual Tacky Prom with Glenwood! | Micah working the DJ booth
MULBERRY!!! | So nice, we do it twice.
 More Mulberry
Athletics | Sports are a big part of life at Beta Sigs, with flag football, basketball, and softball being some of the favorites. One of the highlights of the year was when the softball team defeated AGR by over 20 runs.
85th Anniversary and Homecoming | The annual homecoming weekend is always popular among alumni, and this year the Alumni Board hosted an 85th Anniverary weekend, highlighted by dinner at The Trails.
Pledge Breakfast and Initiation | Pledge Breakfast is everyone's favorite meal of the year. There's nothing quite like getting up at 7 am on a Sunday and heading to the Union.
Snowpocalypse | The blizzard of 2011 resulted in classes being canceled for 2 consecutive days. | So how do the manly men of Beta chapter pass the time when stuck inside? They box, of course.
The party has arrived. | Nick breaks it down. | Lyndsy Martin was crowned Beta Sig Sweetheart. | In a move that rivaled the Kanye West/Taylor Swift fiasco, Wes attempted to steal the crown for himself. | Gold Rose Ball
Grand Prix (the race) | Thanks in large part to help from alumnus Kent Hoffman and sponsorship by Lockheed Martin, the Beta Sig Grand Prix team had a brand new, top of the line cart. Wes drove great, but chain problems prevented a top 5 finish. The team took 15th.
Grand Prix (the party) | TORWAY!! | RAVE! | So much paint...
Sit-down dinners are every Monday and Wednesday | Joel announces the plans for rush for the next week | The SPY's pledge project revamped the dining room | Tom and the rest of the brothers listen to the HBs impart their infinite wisdom for the coming semester
Campus golf, Beta Sig style | It snowed inside! | The floor and drywall in the basement was redone over the summer | Recent graduate Mark Messmann was married in the fall.
President's Message | It is an exciting time to be a Beta Sig at Purdue University. I am proud to report that Beta Chapter is fulfilling the three S’s: Spiritual, Scholastic, and Social. Spiritually, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther reminds us to “maintain, promote, and extend the church by prayer, personal services, and financial support.” We do such through our strong presence on the church council at University Lutheran Church, as well as increasing our church attendance over recent years. We also continue to have Bible study on Wednesday nights with Pastor Barton. Scholastically, we have increased our GPA rank on campus from 12th to 6th out of 40 fraternities. Last semester our house had an average GPA of 2.94 which beat the all men’s average (2.78) and the all fraternity average (2.76). Our goal is to continue to excel academically. Socially, we have been active on campus with 15 different co-ops and sororities. In addition, we have continued to race in the Purdue Grand Prix every spring. Last year, our cart started in 31st position and finished in 6th position. This year, we would have had a top-5 finish if not for a broken chain. Still, we finished 15th. We also currently participate in nearly every intramural sport offered on campus. I would like to thank all the parents and alumni for their continued support of the fraternity. We simply could not survive without you. Please feel free to stop by the chapter house anytime. We would appreciate the opportunity to get to know you. Per Aspera Ad Astra, David Gross, President
