What is Fungi? is a member of a large group of eukaryotic organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds.

Some of the characteristics are: Eukaryotic, non-vascular organism, reproduce by means of spores, both sexual and asexual, like plants, fungi have alternation of generation.

Some Diseases are: Blastomycosis Cryptococcosis Fungal arthritis Fungal nail infection Hypersensitivity pneumonitis Lymph node culture Mucormycosis Skin lesion of blastomycosis Sporotrichosis Sputum fungal smear

A Parasite lives in a close relationship with another organism, its host, and causes it harm. The parasite is dependent on its host for its life functions. For example, viruses are common parasites. The parasite has to be in its host to live, grow, and multiply.

They are nondiscrimainatory in their selection of hosts...most every group; algae, plants, animals have fungal parasites to contend with... A specialized case ( termed Hyperparasites) relates to those fungal species that are parasitic on other fungi
