1: Stephanie & Nicholas are Engaged! Save the Date: 07.06.13
2: Let's start on a little journey... Four years ago, I attended Liberty University for a single semester in pursuit of music, worship, and potentially a girl. To make a long story short, I transferred back to St. Johns to continue my degree in accounting.Little did I know that within a few months of being back in Staten Island, I would all that I was looking for. I was able to work part time here at Salem as part of the youth ministry helping facilitate and leading worship. I was also able to be musically mentored by the entire worship band here at Salem. And I met my future wife who became the newest member of the band sometime in June/July. It was a little over 4 years ago, and there wasn't many new people that joined that band all the time. I joked around with Jonny Kiedrowski and Nick Mustakas that a piano and violin go very well together. At the time I had no idea what God had in store for us and we are only at the beginning of this great story. I still remember the first time I was invited over her house for dinner and all the nerves that were involved. I also still remember asking Tom if I could take her out on a date. Let me give me a snapshot of how the conversation went. "Mr Geraci, I have never smoked a cigarette, never took a drug, or ever got a ticket, can I take your daughter out on a date?"
3: We have had an incredible 4+ years of dating, which truly fly by in the blink of an eye. The past one and a half year has certainly been an eventful for the both of us. Stephanie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelors in music performance, had to prepare for a solo senior recital concert (which was beautiful, I might add), became an aunt, and is now attending graduate school in Manhattan at hunter, and became engaged a few months ago. As for myself, I graduated with a degree in accounting in May of 2011 and began my first full-time job in October 2011. I cannot say how much of a big role that my parents and brother were during my time in college. They gave me the freedom to make the right decisions and truly place me in the position to succeed as long as I was willing to put in the effort. This meant no more staying in bed till 10 and watching T.V. or just hanging out all day. I passed theCPA exam, traveled to North Carolina for work, got engaged a few months ago, and am beginning to prepare for a transition in my job career path at a new firm. I bring all this up not to toot our horns, but to describe to you the events and signs of two people that have grown up and are ready to move into the next phase of life. The reason I know is because the years before the ones I described consisted of waking up at 10:30 going to class at 12:00 coming home at 4:00 and relaxing till the end of the day. Those days are long over and are only mirrored through a special time I like to call vacation. I am truly going to spend the rest of my life with my best friend who happens to be the most beautiful girl in the world. Thank you for making the last 4 years the some of the most special years of my life. It is also amazing to see how much we have matured and built good habits over the past 4 years. I have been cooking more than I ever have before, however, I still am not too sure I can ever the whole laundry thing down *hint hint*. It is amazing to think about all of the memories we made and I can only look forward to the lifetime of memories that we will continue t make.
