1: November 19 - 27, 2010 Our Journey to Brasilia
2: The view from the Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort on Leblon Beach | strawberry caipirinha | Soccer is EVERYWHERE!
3: Our First Night was spent eating traditional Brazilian BBQ at Porcao Restaurant followed by a long walk down all of Ipanema Beach
4: Located in downtown Rio, Catedral Sao Sebastiao can hold 20,000 people!
5: Conquering Sugar Loaf Mountain by Gondola! | Refreshing fresh fruit smoothies at the midpoint of Sugar Loaf | View of Christ from Sugar Loaf
6: The Grayline Tour had arranged lunch for us at Mio in downtown Ipanema. Next stop is Corcovado Mountain to see the Christ the Redeemer Statue | We conquered the 710 meter Corcovado Mountain by train and climbed 200+ steps
7: On top of the world... | Christ statue was built from 1926 - 1931
8: Beach Day! Lara & Sabrina decided to take a dip in the water and found out why Rio is known for the best surf in the world...the waves were RIDICULOUS! | The coconut water needed a little rum! =)
9: Colher de Pau in Ipanema for dinner & live music followed by drinks at Emporio37 and a night of Karaoke at Winners in Copacabana! | If you wanna be my lover | Hotel California | A Whole New World | Copacabana | Losing my Religion | Knock on Wood | Bitch | Celebrate! | Can't Take My Eyes off of You | Baby Got BACK | I Want You Back
10: Today we explored all of Copacabana & Ipanema! We walked until we dropped at Allesandro & Frederico's! It was such a great brunch spot! | Jaca! The fruit that Joey slowly became obsessed with!
11: Our Evening Started at Garcia & Rodriguez for a lovely dinner with our Tour Buddies, Frank, Donna & some yummy Caipirinhas! | And it ended with the famous Plataforma Brazilian Show
13: Oh heck no! Someone has to represent the USA!! | Start Spreading the news I'm leaving today I want to be a part of it, New York, New York! (all while doing the cancan)
14: DELICIOUS Waffles at Columbo Cafe at Forte de Copacabana for breakfast! | Dinner at Zuka in downtown Lapa!
15: Rio Scenarium for some music, samba and much much more... "OH MY GOD!"
16: Day Trip to Sao Bento Monastery in Rio. Founded in 1590, it took over 6 years to build this Benedictine Historical Church.
17: Day 1 in Port de Iguacu! We walked through the forest to reach our kayak adventure under the falls on the Brazil side! WE GOT DRENCHED!
18: Day 1 at the Iguacu Falls blew us away...our legs would be sore from the walking but it was all worth it... Happy Thanksgiving! | Looking at the falls from Brasil
20: Lara was in heaven in Butterfly Land! | Crossing the border from Brasilia to Argentina! | Walking through the rain forest in Puerto Iguazu to get to the Devil's Throat | Day 2 in Iguazu the Argentina Side!
21: We made it to the Devil's Throat | There's a permanent rainbow at the Devil's Throat (and a flood that ruined a walkway nearby...)
22: Last day in Brasilia... Back at the Port de Iguacu for a rappelling adventure in front of the falls!
23: Monkeying around the jungle on a canopy tour!
