10: Juliette and Brooke spend some time playing together. Jill and I use the time to enjoy some adult conversation.

25: Juliette learns to sleep without a swaddle sack. However, she has picked up a new affinity for fancy hats and pajamas.

28: June (7 months old) Juliette plays in her room and shows Mommy all of her toys.
30: Trip to Phoenix June I needed to go to Phoenix to present on "Supporting Pediatric Patients During DBS" for the National Child Life Conference. I brought my two favorite people with me. | We were told there was a van to the hotel that had a car-seat, but surprise, no such thing. So instead we took a limo and Juliette enjoyed the pampered lifestyle. We told her not to get used to it.
31: Juliette made herself right at home. This would be the home she would refuse to sleep in for the next 4 nights. | Juliette and Daddy had a lot of quality time together while Mommy attended the conference.
32: Dining in Phoenix | There weren't many dining options, but we sure did make the most out of what we had.
33: Snickers seemed to be the dessert of choice and the Light Rail turned out to be less exciting than promised. We were VERY ready to come home. However, this was Juliette's first vacation so we tried to make it fun for her.
34: June comes to a close
36: Juliette, you are our little firework | After going to our neighborhood parade we played guitar and sang some songs
37: Leo convinces Juliette that running around the house naked is really the way to go.
40: Get ready Chicago because here we come! In July we made the trip to Chicago for Drew and Suzy's wedding. Before heading to Indiana we spent the afternoon in the city and had a grand tour of Navy Pier and the Chicago Children's Museum.
41: You never know what fun Navy Pier holds. | Aaron, did you find a new friend?
42: Juliette finally feels free to use her legs after a long flight
44: Juliette is so happy exploring the new world around her | The museum offered so many interesting things for Juliette to learn about.
46: We met Myles and Bree for dinner at a fantastic pizza place | The ladies get their nails done for the wedding
47: While we were in the city we took the opportunity to drive by the house that I lived in until I was 2 years old. Good old Greenbriar in Chicago Heights, IL. | We also drove by Aunt Cathy's old house just down the street. I remember playing there when I was little.
49: We met the Murphy family, Aunt Pat, Aunt Sandy and Michael at Sanfratellos for dinner. It was refreshing to have them so close after being away for so long.

58: Concert in the Park | We spent one beautiful September afternoon listening to Telegraph Canyon in the park. It was very hot but very cool.
62: Chicago, here we come again
63: . On our way to Chicago we stopped at the Cheese Castle for a lovely lunch. | The Chicago music exchange was next on our list. We were lucky enough to find some Spinal Tap memorabilia. | The Cheese Castle
65: On October 9th Brandon and Amanda joined together and became husband and wife. It was a beautiful ceremony and everyone dressed to impress.
66: The Chicago Children's Museum
68: After shaking her stuff at the music stand, Juliette moved on to find some fossils. She was now old enough to do some digging herself.
70: Juliette works out at the gym
71: We learned that Jules is really interested in fish
73: On the way back to the airport in Milwaukee we came upon an apple orchard and pumpkin festival.
74: While we were at the apple orchard we stopped to pet the goats. Juliette thought they were funny and liked feeding them.
75: After a few more pictures it was off to the airport to return home

80: Yum! Juliette digs into a delicious cupcake | Many amazing things happened in Juliette's first year. We are so grateful to have her.

88: Juliette sits on her new couch and reads a book. | On the day after her first birthday, Juliette had her first visit to the dentist. Juliette saw Dr. Austin Church (one of Mommy's old friends). She did a great job and was excited to get her first toothbrush.

90: Leo and Ophelia bonded and spent many hours snuggling, playing, and begging for cookies.
92: On Thanksgiving we ate our fill and played hard. Poor Aaron Pie got so tired he passed out on the couch.

98: Christmas Day | Christmas Eve | Christmas 2010 | On Christmas Eve we went to Karen and David's. Christmas morning we woke up and had a great breakfast. Then we watched the dogs and Juliette open their new gifts. We ended the day with a lovely meal at Mel and Hahnsie's house.
