BC: Landon and I are enlightened that you showed us this website. I hope you enjoyed our presentation. | My name is Landon and I love writing story's. I am in 6th grade. My friend and I both made this mix book that you just read. Hope you enjoyed it.

2: A | A is for alike. Lina and Doon because they both like adventure.

3: B | B is for bonded. Lina and Doon bonded together. They were always supportive to each other.

4: C | C is for caring. Lina would always show care to Poppy because she was one of her only two family members.

5: D | D is for Doon. Doon was Lina best friend and he worked in the Pipeworks.

6: E | E is for entertaining. This book was entertaining because it shows what life could of been or was.

7: F | F is for family. Lina had two people in her family. They were her grandmother and her sister Poppy

8: G | G is for green. When Lina and Doon got out of Ember they found lushes, green, land.

9: H | H is for hair-brained. When Lina, Doon, and Poppy were on the boat ,to get out of Ember, they were hair-brained.

10: I | I think the next book, The People of Sparks, will be about how people survive above ground and how everyone in Ember will escape this horrible city.

11: J | J is for jittery. Lina and Doon were very jittery in this book. They were jittery because they were constantly moving.

12: K | K is for keep on going. Lina and Doon kept on going. They were always on the move and they never gave up.

13: L | L is for Lina. Lina was the main character in The City of Ember. Lina was also the messenger of Ember.

14: M | M is for Mayor. The Mayor was the leader of Ember. He also was hording food that people in the city needed.

15: N | N is for narrow. The streets of Ember were described in the book as narrow and tight.

16: O | O is for old grandma. Lina's grandmother was her only grown up family member. Sadly, she died of the fever.

17: P | P is for Pipeworks. The pipeworks were very important because it was the only way out of the horrible city.

18: Q | Q is for quiet. Doon and Lina kept quiet about the instructions to get out of Ember

19: R | R is for river. The river was crucial because it led Lina, Doon, and Poppy out of Ember. The river helped because it took the boats down the river.

20: S | S is for sequential. This book was sequential because every event led up something. it is also sequential because it is the first book in it's series.

21: T | T is for torpid. The mayor of Ember was torpid because the mayor did nothing to help the several black outs or the lost of food.

22: U | U is for urchin. Lina had a baby sister named Poppy. Poppy was an urchin and one of her only family members.

23: V | V is for vulnerable. Lina and Doon were wanted around all of Ember. This made them vulnerable.

24: W | W is for warren. The City of Ember is like an over sized warren because every street led to Harken Square.

25: X | X is for xerox. The instructions to get out of Ember was like xerox.

26: Y | Y is for yearning. The entire book was yearning. Every event had something shocking.

27: Z | Z is for zeal. Lina had a a passion of coloring and adventure.
