FC: What Life Has Become Since 1981
for Scott Porter & Denise Elizabeth on their 30th Wedding Anniversary Thank you for: Supporting us, Teaching us, Raising us, and Loving us. Cole, Maranda, Travis and Ben
 May 9, 1981
Only love can be divided endlessly and still not diminish.
The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.
Life brings simple pleasures to us everyday. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories.
Be true to who you are and the family name you bear.
 We are Nothing without FAMILY
Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.
Home is the place that we know we can always go and the world will stop, we can think, and we will be happy. It is our parents who built our home and gave us this gift.
WARNING the following pages contain things that the four of us came up with. Some things that we remember, love or thought were just funny ..about you guys of course!
Thank you for never loving us less as we experience the trials of life.
Some of the things you taught us: | How to Cook | How to ride a horse | How to play Basketball | How to play Football | To be who we are | The importance of family | What love is | To be accountable | To always be there for each other, no matter what | The reward of hard work | Where we came from | How to be self-sufficient
Top 10 things I Love about My Parents (in no particular order) By: Woobie 10. They always have good advice for any situation their kids may be in. 9. Dad taught us how to work, hunt, fish, survive...and all the fun stuff. 8. Mom taught us the importance of family and knowing where we came from. 7. They have always been very involved with our childhood (coaching, school board, helping with homework...) 6. They always made sure we knew right from wrong even if it seemed they were just mad at us. 5. They taught us that nothing comes easy in life, and if you want something you have to work for it and earn it (this has come in very handy for me). 4. They have always worked very hard to provide for us and made sure we always had what we NEEDED. 3. Dad: "It's better to keep your mouth shut and have people think your stupid, than to open it & have them know your stupid." 2. Mom: "If you don't like what you're doing & it doesn't make you happy, do something else." 1. I love both of you so much and wouldn't trade you for anything in the world!
While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.
Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family.
Remember When... | *Dad gave Ben his first welding lesson *Mom would spank the us with wooden spoons, fly swatters, and puppies. *We did everything as a family (ranching, Elk hunting, building things, gardening, cleaning and having fun), no exceptions! *Mom went all the way across the ocean to visit her daughter. *We were young and Mom and Dad would let us swim in the stock tank. *We went to the State Fair Rodeo every year and always got to get new rodeo clothes. *We would keep the horses close to the house during the summer so we could ride them anywhere.
*We would learn life lessons while we ate dinner together every night. *Moo and Cole got mad at Mom and told Dad she was kissing some guy at the gas station. *You guys took us to see the scariest movie EVER, The Little Mermaid. *Mom would make us get off the trampoline so she could jump with her weights. *Dad tried to hang with Ben and Trav while racing at dipping springs. *Dad asked for 1109 welding rod. *We knew we could talk to Mom about anything and she would make us feel better about the situation. * We used to go to rodeo's all the time and Moo could never reach past the saddle blanket. *You tried to celebrate your anniversary and the roof blew off our house.
