FC: Things Dearest To Me By Regan Brooks
Things Dearest to Me By Regan Brooks
My Dog By Regan Brooks I have a shih tzu named Chester, and he is an adorable little dog. He will jump up on my bed and lay next to me, silently promising to never leave me with no comfort. He is a cat; Chester will jump up onto high places and stretch like a little kitty. He is almost a teddy bear, letting us do what we wish to him. For example, Jordan is always pulling his tail, carrying him here and there. Yet, he doesn’t bite her, so he really is a sweet dog. I got him when I was three, and he is my best friend. I can rely on him to listen to me no matter what I’m saying. What a great dog!
What’s Dearest to Me By Regan Brooks I have a million things that are very dear to me, but the most important is without a doubt my family. They would help me with anything in the world, and that makes me feel really special. They support me in every decision I make. My family is definitely the best! My mom’s name is Sandie. She is an important person in my family. I don’t know how, but she juggles cooking dinner for us every single night, drives us to wherever we need to go, works out, makes my lunch, and takes care of everyone at the same time! She the Wonder Woman of moms. I hate that I yell at her as much as I do, and I can see how much it hurts her. I’m definitely trying to stop doing that. I know she doesn’t think so, but I appreciate everything she does for my family and me so much, and I know my family does too. My dad’s name is Tim. He is another highly important part of my family. He works at Carrier West every day. His job is really tough, and yet, he still comes home from work every day in a good mood. He earns the money for my family, and he puts the roof over our
heads. He takes out my dog at night for me, which I need to thank him more for. I also know that I can talk to my dad about things and know I’ll get good advice back (same with mom too). He wakes us up every morning and brings my mom her coffee. I don’t know how he manages to do it all at once! My sister’s name is Jordan. She is eight years old and in second grade. I can’t believe how fast she’s been growing up! She might not think so, but I love her with all of my heart. She looks u to me so much. It makes me keep going; she is my inspiration to be better. She will draw me pictures of us holding hands. I have never thrown those pictures away, and I NEVER will!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, we fight like any other siblings would. But we are definitely closer than other brothers and sisters out there. She sure is a pistol, but she’s a good little girl, and I love her. I love everyone in my family so much you wouldn’t believe it! Each family member of mine is my hero in a different way. I honestly couldn’t have ever asked for a better family!!!

Friends By Regan Brooks Friends are always there when you need them, to give you a hand when you’re sad, mad, or just frustrated. They can talk you through things like your mother can. Friends make you laugh when you’re sad, or when there’s nothing to talk about. With a friend, you can laugh for hours, and at the same time, neither of you have a clue on what’s so funny. You can hang out with friends over and over, never running out of things to say to each other. Friends are special. You have inside jokes with them, handshakes, secret languages, dances, and so much more. Friends also get into fights sometimes, but real friends know how to deal with it and work it out. I have the best friends ever; we know how to laugh, talk to each other the right way, and just have fun! You will never see my friends and I not having a good time. I love my friends!
I Know I Can By Regan Brooks Swish! Swish! Can you hear that? I know I can. The sun is baking my back, sand’s crusting on my feet Do you know where I am? I’m at the beach. Ocean in front of me going on forever. Cruise ship’s honking their horns I just want to go in the water. I want to run away from the waves as they come and chase me. I want to collect sea shells. I want sand in between my toes. I want to build a sand castle. I want to smell like Carribbean. I want to be baked by the sun. I want to play beach volleyball. I want the temperature to be 101.
But what do you expect? I’m a Colorado-raised girl. Swish! Swish! Can you hear that? I know I can.
