1: When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I knew that little things are special things. When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I believed there is a God I could always talk to. When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me goodnight, and I felt loved. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be. When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked... and wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking

4: God made a wonderful mother, A mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine, And He molded her heart of pure gold; In her eyes He placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks fair roses you see; God made a wonderful mother, And He gave that dear mother to me

8: My mom is very sweet and always caring. She worries about us when were in school. She makes sure that we get where we are going On time so that we don't feel like a fool. She cares whenever we pick on each other. She cares whenever we get hurt. She cares whenever we drop time in swimming. She cares about the buttons on our shirt. But best of all, mom loves all of us Both when we're good and bad. She makes us happy with a hug and kiss And holds our hand whenever we are sad.

13: You were there when we took our first steps, And went unsteadily across the floor. You pushed and prodded: encouraged and guided, Until our steps took us out the door... You worry now "Are they ok?" Is there more you could have done? As we walk the paths of our unknown You wonder"Where have my children gone?" Where we are is where you have led us, With your special love you showed us a way, To believe in ourselves and the decisions we make. Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day. And where we go you can be sure, In spirit you shall never be alone. For where you are is what matters most to us, Because to us that will always be home...
