S: Jacob Cole's First Year
FC: Jacob Cole | Gordon
Sneak Peaks At just a few weeks old you were the tiniest little heart beat. | And at four months we found out you were a BOY. We were so happy to see that you were all there and healthy. Not long after this ultrasound we found out your dad would be leaving for Iraq. Nine months took on a whole new meaning for us.
Welcome Baby Boy After several hours of induced labor you were delivered on July 16th, 2009 via an emergency c-section due to a prolapsed cord. Despite the ordeal your mom was so in love with all 9lbs 3 oz and 22 inches of you.
 First Glances
HOME | At the hospital you were showered with love. So many sent flowers, brought food, and spent time. Uncle Doug brought your sisters and brothers to visit and later helped bring you home, where even more generosity awaited. | BOUND
We spent most of the first week on the couch, while Doug took care of the house and kids. Mom needed time to recover, and you needed to sleep. | So Sweet
As you can see I am not the only one that was smitten. This was about when you got to see your dad on the webcam for the first time. | So Loved
 Two Weeks Old
Aunt Michelle came to visit after Uncle Doug went home. It was nice to have some extra help... | and she loved holding you. You grew out of your jaundice but were not sleeping well yet. You began smiling the day she flew home.
Even at this young age it was very apparent that you loved to suck. Luckily you took to a binkie right away and never looked back. Spencer loved trying to "inspect" the binkie for you. It was as interactive as he got.
Daddy's Home | It was the best two weeks of watching the two of you bond, He was an expert at encouraging your adorable smiles.
 Hodges Garden
 Blessing Day
Your dad pronounced a beautiful blessing from your Father in Heaven. You are one loved little son. This was also bitter sweet as it was just a day before your dad had to return to Iraq.
Funny Faces | Although your dad could stay for only two weeks, he sure had fun with you. Every time I look at these pictures he took of you I have to smile.
 Two Months Old
Chariot Races were an immediate hit with you. But that changed rather quickly as your bubbles won over. But none the less you spent many hours riding along.
 First G I G G L E S
Fall Fun We didn't let dad's departure from keeping us from having fun, but you sure spent a lot of time in the sling, so I could keep up with everyone.
Skin & Bones I could not resist this costume for you when I saw it, as you had trouble gaining weight during the first few months of life, it was the perfect match.
 Three Months Old
You began to really move around, and boy could you go. By 14 weeks you had mastered the roll from your belly to your back and by 16 weeks you could go the other way.
Sibling Time | With Mom trying to do it all, the kids all took turns helping with you you. You are one lucky baby brother.
This is one of mom's favorite stages, and it looked like you were going to skip right by it. But then.... | you surprised me Toe's for Lunch
 Daddy's Home
It doesn't get any better than this.
Catching up on lost time... | It was hard work but someone had to do it.
 Five Months Old
Vacation Time... after all the work came all the play. WE spent a week in San Antonio TX and you loved seeing the animals at the zoo and Sea World.
And you even got in your first swim at the hotel pool. It was a little chilly so you didn't last long.
Your First Christmas was a bit of a blur between having dad home and all the fun and vacationing we did with our time. But you loved your new jumperoo.
Oh my how things began to change for you...at six months you started crawling, trying to sit up by yourself, loving to snuggle, put everything in your mouth, babble, and play with siblings and toys. | Six Months Old
Grandma was lucky enough to get to come visit and see all these fun developments. She loved snuggling with you and getting you to laugh and smile with her.
Taste Testing I wish I could say this phase was as fun as the rest... | but you did not like any sort of solid food...at all. Fortunately you did like a sippie cup right away, but only with water.
As soon as you were crawling you discovered the bottom stair and before long you had pulled yourself up to a stand. You were so happy to be at level with the train table.
 Seven Months Old
And by Eight Months you were crawling all over the place and pulling up to a stand. | Cruising was great, of course, and you were regularly getting yourself into lots of dicey situations with your antics.
Red Rock Climber | Your first trip out west was to the Gordon Family Reunion in St George UT. | You loved climb crawling around, spending time with your cousins, and celebrated your first Easter. You were also lucky to spend time with your Grandpa Gordon who passed away shortly after this.
 B U B B L E | Nine Months | F U N
Ten Months As you took your first steps just shy of your nine month mark, by this time you were a pro and always on your feet. You loved the freedom this gave you right away. You also had grown your first two teeth, the top front ones, and were sporting some very fine blond hair.
Eleven Months | You really turned into a busy little man, climbing digging and playing everywhere
 Happy First Birthday Jacob Cole
 One Year Old
