During the day everything was fine. He enjoyed the parties with all his friends and family and all of the delicious food and drink.

It was the night that John feared the most on the 4th of July. It wasn't the dark he feared, it was the fireworks.

The loud booms that the fireworks made was the thing that scared him the most. It was so loud they sounded like gun shots.

But this year John was to determined to watch the fireworks without being scared of them.

He did everything to prepare for the night to come. He grabbed his favorite teddy bear and went outside.

He met up with the rest of his family who were waiting for him outside. It was all ready dark and the time for fireworks was soon.

John sat down and got ready for the show. Everything was quiet and then it happened so fast he was not ready for it.

BOOM. A firework goes off. John covers his ears, but as they keep going off he thinks "Its not so bad"

John got over his fear of fireworks and even learned to like them. Now its his favorite part of the 4th of July
