1: Tony and Brandi This is our story...
2: Hi, We are so excited to introduce ourselves and give you a peek at our lives. You are making such a huge decision, and we can only hope that you are completely comfortable and at peace with the decisions you make. We would like to tell you a little about ourselves and how our lives have led us to this decision. About us... We are Tony and Brandi. We live near Houston, Texas in a nice new house with a large backyard. We share this home with two Jack Russell Terriers named Wingnut and Harley. Tony works for a large oil company in Houston. Brandi is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and works in the newborn nursery at a busy hospital. We met in 2000, when a mutual friend introduced us at Mardi Gras. We have been together ever since. We are truly each other's best friend. We enjoy spending time with our families and friends, traveling, and boating. We have a great relationship and love each other very much. What Brandi has to say about Tony... Tony is loving, thoughtful, generous, honest, adventurous and a great friend to everyone. He is hilarious, and the life of any party. He loves to travel to new places and see new things. He is very handy, and he remodeled most of our first home by himself. He is my best friend, and the first one I call when I have good news. He is also a favorite with our nieces, nephews and friends' children. They all want him to play, yelling for "Uncle Tony." I know he will make an excellent father. What Tony has to say about Brandi... Brandi is intelligent, honest, outgoing, organized, giving and thoughtful. She is my best friend and soul mate. Brandi is the one who never misses sending someone a birthday present or an anniversary card and who is always there to throw someone a baby shower or engagement party. She loves being with her family and talks to or sees her dad and mom almost every day. Being a PNP and working with babies all day she is also the one whom everyone calls when their son or daughter has a cough or scrapes their knee, and she never is too busy to listen and offer advice. She deserves all the happiness that motherhood has to offer her.
3: How we got here... As soon as we married, we were ready to start a family. However, after six years of trying all that modern medicine could offer, we realized that a biological child would not be likely. We knew we wanted a family and that there would be a child that needed us. We have such loving families, and such fond memories of our childhood. We want to share those with a child and provide them with a life of love, adventure, opportunity, support, encouragement, and more love. We want our home filled with giggles, Saturday morning cartoons, a fridge covered with finger-paint artwork, screams of excitement when opening gifts on Christmas morning, school projects that we hope are done right, and high fives for even the smallest successes. We want a family, and we have chosen to pursue adoption. We have not entered this decision lightly. We gladly accept the responsibility to raise a child, provide them with unconditional love, and always be honest with them about their origin. Tony's father and sister were adopted, as were three of our close friends, our godson and his sister, and they have all been so supportive of our plans to adopt. Family... We both have very large families, and they are all so excited about our plans to adopt. The grandparents are anxiously awaiting their newest grandchild. Our 3 year old niece, Mollie, is already saving her toys for her new cousin. Brandi plans to stay home with the baby for several months, and then return to work part time. Her mother will keep the baby on the few days that we are both working. We hope that this brief letter helps you visualize the road we have traveled, and what we hope lies ahead- a family. This photo album provides a visual of the life we have, and we hope will show you the life we want to share with a child. We want for you to know that the child we adopt will never want for anything, and they will always know that they have a loving birth mother that made the ultimate sacrifice for her baby's happiness.
