Itinerary March 5 - Fort Lauderdale March 6 - Fort Lauderdale March 7 - Fort Lauderdale March 8 - At Sea March 9 - Grand Turk March 10 - San Juan March 11 - St. Thomas March 12 - At Sea March 13 - Half Moon Cay March 14 - Fort Lauderdale March 15 - Orlando March 16 - Orlando March 17 - Calgary | Chevy in the hotel pool - it was cooler than it looked, so it was a quick swim.

Chevy discovered a new style of cream puffs at the welcoming luncheon! | Everyday we got a newsletter outlining the events and activities. | Chevy found the best way to ward off sea sickness was by going for a swim. | There was a lot of just chillin' both on deck and curled up in bed.

Racing the Waves | GRAND TURK TURKS & CAICOS MARCH 9 | Outside Margaritaville | Stingrays like to cuddle | One of the crew on the snorkel boat. | One of the beaches that Chevy got to enjoy..

Our first port of call was Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Although a small island, Grand Turk has a knot of shops and businesses that cater to the cruise ship traffic. In addition to the usual souvenir shops, there were several art galleries. | Of course there was also a Margaritaville, owned by the "Son of a Son of a Sailor" Jimmy Buffett. The beach was the host to to rows of beach chairs. The water was clear and a colour I now know as Caribbean blue. We went on a snorkel trip, where Chevy abandoned her initial case of nerves to swim and float enjoying the myriad of life under the sea. The boat then landed on the beach of a small atoll. We were able to wade into the sea and get up close and personal with very friendly stingrays. Yes, I kissed a stingray and I think I liked it.

San Juan, Puerto Rico We went on a walking tour of San Juan. It is a city with an amazing history and culture. The fact that they were able to keep the Americans at bay for so many years, speaks to their stamina.

The row houses in old San Juan are subject to architectural control requiring that no two houses can be painted the same colour. This results in a beautiful rainbow of pastel and ice cream colours. | Several years ago when the number of feral cats became an issue in old San Juan, an organization called "Save a Gato" stepped in to help. Volunteers would trap the wild kitties, get them sterilized and then release them back into the wild. We saw several of them, as well as some of the feeding stations that dot San Juan.

St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. | If I ever win the lottery, this is where you will find me! | The Butterfly Farm was one of the most amazing places we stopped. Here Chevy is getting up close with some of the colourful inhabitants. | Chevy at The St. Peter Greathouse Botanical Garden | Iguana be your friend!

So these are the Bouganvillea flowers that I read about in so many books -- mostly those set in the Southern U.S.

Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas

There was a whole Pirates' Cove Theme | Flowers are just more alive | Chevy's favourite toy was SAND | The kids' play area was pretty phenomenal. | Of course, there were shops | A bird in a palm tree

At Sea....on the days we were travelling, Chevy was kept amused with the two swimming pools, the Youth Club (Club HAL) and basically running the ship from end to end.

While Chevy was taking in the siwmming pools, teen club, library and other fun spots on the ship, I spent the week studying A Course In Miracles with Marianne Williamson | Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the Peace of God

Orlando, FL After the cruise we drove up to Orlando to spend a few days taking in the adventures of theme parks, Space Shuttles, and other amazing sights. | WONDERWORKS | Saw this on the drive . .

Universal | I always wanted to play with the Cat in the Hat! | We spent 2 days playing at | Yes, we really did see the Mystery Machine and none other than Shaggy and Scooby Do!

Studios | Universal Studios, Orlando | SCARY | SCARY!

Chevy's favourite part of Universal Studios was the Special Effects Make Up show featuring Rick Baker who did the make up for such classics | as An American Werewolf in London and The Wolfman, both of which scared the . . well. . you know. . . out of me.

Frankie | Beetlejuice's Rock & Roll Graveside Revue | Even the Dead need to be cheered on | The "Band" | Our Host | It's lonely being a Monster | Dancing & Singing | Don't you just want to dance! | A Rollicking Good Time

STS 119 DISCOVERY 09/03/15 to 09/03/28 Launch viewed from Jetty Park, Florida

Judi Gervitz Lindie, Alana Lindie, Chevy & me Judi & her hubby picked us up at took us to Jetty Park on Cape Canaveral to watch the Shuttle
