FC: John and Debbie Alexander 25 Years
 May 10th 1986
Married at St Bernadette Church, Burien, WA John, I had the courage to ask you to dinner with me and my children, Sarah and Keith. Three and a half years later, you had the courage to ask me to marry you!
This is the story of our Dance of Life together, Sharing the good with the bad, a great dance it has been with many more to come. A story shared through our anniversary cards with heartfelt notes to each other.
1987 By our first anniversary we took a family honeymoon to Disneyland and were getting ready to double the size of our house.
1988 Construction was finally completed. Time to buy new furniture.
1989 We paid off our bills and saved enough so I could take up my passion of writing children's books.....
1990 Sarah prepared us our anniversary dinner of chicken pot pies, chili, fish crackers and salad.
1991 We mourned the loss of you mother shortly after our last anniversary. She was a great mother-in-law and grandmother and will always be deeply missed. I see where you get your kindness and gentle spirit.
1992 I never wrote a children's book but did have a column in the paper for a few years. Thanks for letting me stay at home.
1993 I was back to work full time and you went on strike. And as always we made it through by the grace of God.
1994 Do you remember surprising me with tickets on the train to the St. Michelle Winery for our anniversary? Lunch was great!
1995 We went to your 20 year school reunion and I had turned 40 last September.
1996 It was a sad year with the loss of your Dad, the Boeing strike, followed by your heart attack at Christmas 1995. I loved the 10 year anniversary in Las Vegas with your family.
1997 Sarah had graduated and was away at college. We survived the teen years... almost... Keith! I couldn't have asked for a better father for our children.
1998 With the kids all grown up we were able to take in a few concerts - my favorite - Daryl Hall & John Oates and Chicago at the Gorge.
1999 We bought our lake property.
2000 We were there when the King Dome came down! You went back to school when Boeing laid you off. Again, we made it past this bump in the road.
2001 As always, through the years, we have made time for family and friends who have enhanced our lives together.
2002 A lot of this year was in preparation for Sarah and Paul's wedding on July 20, 2002. You looked so handsome walking your daughter down the aisle.
2003 We went on our first cruise to Alaska to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. What a blast it was and we were hooked on cruising. Most importantly, our first grandchild, Riley, was soon arriving.
2004 I love you even more.
2005 I surprised you early for your 50th birthday and our grandson Jake arrived in July.
2006 We celebrated 20 years on another cruise to warmer weather in Mexico
2007 We both changed jobs. You were back at Boeing and I went to work at the FAA. You built my garden shed. We make a good team working on projects together too.
2008 One of many great weekends at the lake.
2009 Keith finally proposed to Julie. Our year was full of celebration leading up to their wedding. We had fun in Disneyland after my business trip. And our anniversary was on Mother's Day!
2010 Keith and Julie were married October 3, 2009. We had such a nice time on their Caribbean cruise honeymoon in February. Thank you for all your support and hugs during my mother's cancer treatments.
2011 Our third grandchild, Hannah, arrived in January. 25 Years!! Wow, and here we are ending 25 like we began our first year, building a home... But most importantly building our future together as we enjoy our Dance of Life...
