S: Girl's Cruise - May 2011
 C | Carnival Conquest May 1 - 8, 2011
 Paige JoJo | Cathy Shirley | STARRING . . .
Day 1 was filled with discovering new things, new people, and settling in. | Paige & JoBetsy were thankful that their 'other' roomies, Vanessa & Yvette would not be joining them after all. | JoBetsy became JoBincy at dinner. We watched Brandi do the chicken dance to the Austin Powers theme song. And we discovered Crystal from Oklahoma for the first time . . . cheap hair job with platinum blonde on top, dark brown on bottom, large and in charge, deep voice. | Galveston | May 1, 2011
Day 2 was filled with a little laying out in the sun, and a few fun, FuN, FUN activities during the day. We attended the shopping seminar that turned out to be a total waste of time and upon leaving were greeted by a Spa carnival employee with a special deal for those of us who had attended the shopping seminar . . . perhaps they felt bad that we had wasted an hour of our day. Paige and JB decided to partake in the deal. When booking our treatment the Spa lady asked for our names, Paige responded with "Allison." No problem. JoBetsy responded, "JoBetsy." Spa lady became confused. So instead JoBetsy said, "Jo." Spa lady, "J-O-E?" JoBetsy, "No. Jo. J-O." (insert pause) "J-O." And so JoJo and Alison got reservations at the Spa. JoJo would stick for the remainder of the trip. We had a formal dinner in the Monet where we met our wait staff, Mr. T, Nim & Rodel. They sang "That's Amore" and Paige danced with the Maitre D, Mr. V. At the end of dinner Cathy commented that no one had sung to her on her birthday, so JoJo ran with the situation and told the wait staff it was her birthday. They sang to her and she got a piece of birthday pie, candle included. We danced in the lobby while waiting for pictures, and later we went to the disco for some 70s music. We enjoyed dancing, and people watching. Notes: JoJo doesn't like mojitos. Shirley's whiskey sour was awful. Paige likes Long Island Iced teas, and ATTENTION: Cathy drank a fruity drink! | At Sea | May 2, 2011

During the day, we all laid out. We were more windburned than sunburned. Cathy had her coconut drink . . . “Have fun!” of course, FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! Nothing less on a Carnival ship. JoJo spotted another ship in the distance. We were anxious to pass it. We waited for a while . . . a long while to finally realize we were merging paths with the ship and not passing it. While we were waiting Paige spotted the Aunt Jackie look-alike she'd seen the day before. After lunch . . . you can guess what we had for lunch . . . we went to the Marriage Gameshow. Red-headed Rita and Don soon became the new celebrities of the ship. Later,we snuck Cathy into the Loyalty cocktail party. And we definitely took advantage of the free drinks and hours devours . . . Mango punch and chicken salad hit the spot! We attended the drawing at the fun shops. JoJo put her incomplete ticket into the bag seconds before the drawing and she WON!!!! . . . A pair of tiny, 14K, cupid earrings! After the show, Shirley and Cathy headed to the slot machines and Paige hit up the blackjack table. | May 3, 2011

We never could’ve predicted what the day would hold. The bus ride was CRAZY!! (See videos) We ventured into the heart of Jamaica toward the Appleton Estate Rum Factory. The countryside was lush and mountainous. The vast amount of native ferns that grew everywhere was amazing. At the rest stop, Paige moved up to the front after almost falling into the lap of the lady sitting across the aisle from her earlier in the drive. She and Vincent became fast friends. He taught her how to open and close the door to the bus and she took over while he took a break. Upon returning, he asked if he could marry her. She said, “No.” He then asked if she’d settle for a hug, and she did. | Jamaica | May 4, 2011 | At the rum factory, we started our adventure with some strong but very delicious rum punch. We toured the facilities, learned how rum was made, and even tasted sugarcane and molasses. The ride back to the port was as adventurous as the ride up and the addition of rain made it even more nerve racking.
We met some fun friends on our tour that day as we definitely did some bonding while traversing the scary terrain as if we were on a go kart track. Thankfully everyone had a unique personality that blended nicely to make light of our . . . uh . . . situation. Our friends for the day: *The Indian couple. The husband who was actually going to take a leak on the side of the road with us all watching. The wife had a blast with the wild ride on the way home. At one point, a bus in front of us was a Toyota coaster. She took that and ran . . . “That’s right . . . we are on a roller coaster!!” *The late couple. We waited about twenty minutes for them to finally arrive at the bus. Mom tried to kill a fly by her face. She wasn’t too enthused. And Paige . . . well, on a sharp turn, she almost fell into her lap. *The teacher and her husband. She asked about a thousand questions about the educational system and why, if the government mandated children attend school, some of them were out fishing and not at school. Thankfully she loosed up on the way back to port. (Please see "Holy Moly video) *The coach and his wife from San Antonio. *The couple who ran their own business that cruised frequently. Hope their restaurant was intact when they return home. *The couple from Ohio that had relocated to Texas.
 Grand Cayman
While waiting in line for our excursion to begin . . . lo and behold, we spotted Crystal across the way. JoJo decided she was a contradiction of terms . . . her cheap hair, Superman tattoo, mash hat, and white strapless eyelet cover-up . . . it was a sight! | We ventured to Dolphin cove where we interacted with Ziggy and Lucy . . . Nemo visited, too. There were six dolphins in all at the cove. We enjoyed kissing, dancing, and signing with them. "That was just smashing!" Shirley said. We then ventured out to stingray city. There were a lot of boats out . . . in fact, we played bumper boats with another boat! The waves were also large and strong. However, we all still got to experience the stingrays swimming around us and gliding right up against our legs. | At dinner, Paige danced with Mr. T and the older gentlemen from a nearby table to ‘Get Low’. It was an experience. (see videos and next page for dinner pics) | May 5, 2011

We started the day with some shopping. I think we did well at the jewelry store with pearls and necklaces . . . but I think we’d ALL agree . . . our $20 hats were a TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! Then . . . JoJo Andretti in car #55 in the inside lane comes into her first turn!! The beach buggy was more like a dune buggy. And it was a wild ride! We definitely had to hold onto our hats. THe venture to Punta Sur was at some times picturesque and at others not. The ecological park consisted of three crocodiles . . . . . . . . the Mayan ruins were VERY small. We got a kick out of our sweaty booty marks in the seat of the dune buggy. | Cozumel | We drove a little further down the road and arrived covered in a layer of dirt at the beach. Paige & JoJo walked a mile and then swam a mile to finally get to the reef for some snorkel action. JoJo was almost suffocated by her lifejacket. Then she decided to venture off by herself. Paige, on the other hand, had a life jacket that moved from side to side as she tried to swim and was in the front of the group with the guide waiting for him to point out fish, plants, and shells. The fish were plentiful and colorful. The reefs also had some very colorful plants. Too bad Paige dropped her camera before we got to the beach . . . wah wah. The plants at the reef were purple and blue. There were fish with black, white, and yellow strips, deep blue with a lighter blue spots, and big white fish with yellow on the tip of their mouth, fins, and tail. Meanwhile, back at the beach . . . Cathy and Shirley were basking in the sun, taking occasional dips in the crystal blue water . . . must’ve been nice! Upon spotting the two older women in purple bikinis while eating lunch. . . we all decided there comes a time in life when bikinis just shouldn’t be allowed. Entertainment at dinner was “Shake, Shake, Shake”. We attended the Punchliner comedy show later in the evening and sat at the front. After spotting us four lovely ladies, he said something about us being, “The Desperate Housewives of Galveston”. We were flattered.

We slept-in a bit, ate, went to some activities and/or laid in the sun, and then ate some more. We also did a galley tour. We thought the escalator system and the opposing stories of the Renoir Matre D and Rodel about how orderly the waiters wait for their orders in the back were interesting. Later in the evening, we attended the Legends Show and sat by our Ohio/Texas friends from Jamaica. We, of course, immediately spotted Crystal. When it was over, JoJo and Mr. Ohio/Texas shouted from the balcony to get a picture of Crystal. Paige was afraid JoJo was going to get her tail end kicked before the night was up. Instead however, on the way back to the room, JoJo decided to tap dance and play with the wine glasses in the elevator. Mamma Shirley found it extremely entertaining. Paige went back to the casino to hopefully increase her earnings . . . unfortunately, 30 minutes later she was back in the room with $2. | May 7, 2011 | At Sea
