FC: a year in the life of... | Wylee | 0-3 months

1: Wylee Reuben Bergstrom | May you touch fireflies and stars, dance with fairies, and talk to the man in the moon. May you grow up with love and gracious hearts and people who care. Welcome to the world, little one. It's been waiting for you." | Date: February 25, 2011 Time: 5:45 am Length: 18.5 inches Weight: 6 lbs 15 ounces

2: Labor | Mommy was scheduled to go to the hospital on February 24, 2011 due to her being diagnosed with Preclampsia. We arrived at Swedish American Hospital at 5:45 am and mommy was already 2cm dilated. 8:45 am- Mommy was induced and did not start to progress into labor until 4:30 pm when she was 4 cm dilated. 5:45 pm -Dr. Trapp broke mommy's water and labor started to progress more rapidly. 6:40 pm -mommy got a epidural and felt much better. 8:00 pm- 4 1/2 cm dilated, labor was SLOWLY progressing. 10:30 pm- 6.5cm dilated, mommy was getting really tired now. 12:25 am -7.5 cm 2:45 am -9 cm, 3:00 am -10 cm 3:15 am- start pushing And at 5:45 am, Mommy and Daddy welcomed a beautiful baby boy into this world, YOU!!

3: Our night nurse was named Heather. She was wonderful throughout the labor and delivery. | Grandma Horn, Mimi, and Grandma Bergstrom patiently awaiting your arrival. | Getting prepared for your arrival

4: Welcome to the World | Getting your umbilical cord cut. | Laying on mommy's chest right after you were born.

5: Waa, Waa is was what we heard at 5:45 am. It was music to our ears. It was the most beautiful sound mommy and daddy had ever heard. When you first arrived Mommy cried a little and daddy cut your umbilical cord. Dr. Trapp said you looked healthy. That was a wonderful feeling to hear you were a healthy little 6 lb 15 ounce baby boy. You were exactly 3 weeks early.

7: Only Minutes old

8: Your 3 1/2 day stay at the hospital

11: All of you Visitors

12: Mommy and you were supposed to be discharged from the hospital on Sunday but you were jaundice so you had to stay one extra night. Mommy and Daddy were upset because they did not like seeing you in the bilirubin machine. | The nurses said you were the most relaxed baby they had ever seen because you didn't cry at all. You slept so well in the machine and the next day you were released from the hospital because your bilirubin levels were normal.

14: Going Home

15: We left the hospital around 10:00 am on Monday February 28th. We were so excited to get you home. It was a cold but very sunny day and there was a little bit of snow on the ground. Daddy drove around the car so we could get in the car and go home.

16: F | irst day home

17: Your first day home you were greeted with wiggity, waggity tails from Cooper and Lilly. Cooper took to you right away but Lilly was a little stand offish. Eliot didn't care one bit he just wanted to be pet and Emmitt did not like you at all. He hissed at you and his fur stood tall. But he got used to you in a few hours and was back to his old ways

18: Bath

19: Time | You had your first sponge bath the day you got home from the hospital. We put your whale bath tub on the kitchen counter and bathed you. You cried throughout almost the whole bath but we gave you your binky and you calmed down.

20: 1 week old

21: 0-1 month

22: 2 weeks old | My first Saint Patrick's Day

23: 0-1 month

24: 3 weeks old

25: 0-1 month

26: month

27: Daddy, Wylee, Mike, Kadin, Jon, and Parker

28: 5 weeks old

29: 1-2 months

34: Mommy's Little Bunny

35: Wylee's first Easter was on April 24th, 2011. When we got up in the morning the Easter Bunny had dropped off a basket full of goodies. After opening our baskt, we got our Easter outfits on and heading to Mimi's for a Easter egg hunt and we ate some good grub. Then we headed over to Great Aunt Penny's and Uncle Matt's for some more great food and a fun Easter egg hunt. You were lucky to get four Easter baskets from Mommy and Daddy, Grandma Bergstrom, Aunt Krisin and Kadin, Grandma Horn and Mimi got you a blue bunny. You are sooo loved! | All the Great Grandchildren and Mimi

38: A boy is trust with dirt on it's face, beauty with a cut on it's finger, wisdom with bubble gum in it's hair, and the hope of the future with a frog in it's pocket. | wonder. dream. | play.
