Mommy and Daddy were so excited that I was on the way, they couldn't believe it. | I was due June 10, 2008. Here are two pictures from my ultrasound at 22 weeks.

Alexander Preston Kelly born June 18, 2008 at 3:56am 8 pounds 1 ounce 21 inches long Group Health Hospital Seattle, Washington

Daddy, Burkie and Mommy(of course) were there when I was born.

 Gearing up to go home

Before Mommy was even pregnant she had a dream that she and Daddy had a little boy named Alex with blond hair and blue eyes. That's where they got my name. | First Bath

Papa and Granny came all the way to Seattle to meet me.

This day was really hot. There was no air conditioning at our house in Seattle. Mommy and Daddy spent the first six weeks of my life packing our house and getting ready for our big move to Kentucky.

Grandma came to see me too. | My parents wanted to know everything about me. They used to weigh me on our kitchen scale.

The many faces of Alex Kelly

Early morning snuggles. I was a really good sleeper. I started sleeping all the way through the night when I was six weeks old.

 Aunt Kate, practicing for motherhood.

When I was six weeks old, the Kelly family moved from Seattle, Washington to Lexington, Kentucky. Look at me, I'm SMILING. I started smiling just before we moved.

I loved the outdoors. We sat on the porch every morning. This is about the time I started rolling over (2.5 months). | Even MORE people came to visit me. I was a popular guy.

 Learning to sit up.

I found my feet (and my hand and my fingers)

 Mummy loves you too.

At five months old, I was just beginning to sit up.

Family photo ops. Mommy kept trying for that elusive Christmas card photo. (There were a LOT of photos taken.)

This one is the winner. Happy Holidays 2008 | This did not end well.

Pureed squash anyone? I started eating (sort of) solid foods just before I turned six months old.

Merry Christmas everyone (Already showing my cousin who's boss.)

On our way to Grandma's house. | Cousin Jamie, Grandma, and me | Uncle Mike and me | most of my Kelly cousins

I started crawling when I was eight and a half months old. Boy, was everyone in trouble then. | Trying my hand at feeding myself.

 Our First Family Vacation

 Scary bunny.

I'm ONE. Can you believe it? | On my first birthday, we had a cookout at our house. I tried hamburgers and chocolate cake for the first time. Yummy.

I loved all my presents. I even liked my birthday hat. What a Difference a Year Makes!
