S: Upset the Status Quo -- Andrea Tryon
BC: "When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment. I told them they didn’t understand life." — John Lennon
FC: Upset the Status Quo | Sophomore Year 2011
HIGHLAND.... | Not "Highlander", like we all hope it to be, instead this is a picture-with-captions tale of a girl in her sophomore year of high school. This is the tale of ANDREA TRYON from Highland High. The memories of her friends and dreams are wrapped up in one little book. One book that represents and entire year of a life well lived.
Betsy Wojtisiak | Betsy and I first met outside of class through a mutual friend, Abi. And I knew we could be very good friends immediately. She helps me with my math, and she loves to talk about boys and the little mermaid and all other manner of hilarious subjects that got me through the bore of math.
Kyler Leavitt | Kyler is one of my best friends. He manages to make everything funny and entertaining. Only 3 days younger than me, Kyler prides himself on his ego and intelligence. We quoted everything together. Our favorites were Firefly and the Big Bang Theory. He played magic, made his own stories and languages. He speaks Elvish and yet fails at Spanish. Gotta love him :D
 He's Ceasar!!! | BAZINGA!!!
Kaitlyn Bushey | Kaitlyn was the first one to introduce me to the school. We met at volleyball and we just clicked as friends. We joked, laughed, and had amazing moments all year. Though high school was the only place we could hang out, we still had some of the best times in the world.
Amy Peterson | Amy created a sense of happiness for everyone around her. I never felt left out, rejected, or lost when we hung out. She made everything fun. With her smile she could erase any doubt that the day was going to go well.
Miriam Leitner | More commonly known as Mizzy, Miriam was a german exchange student in my theater class. She was charming, fun and saw everything from a unique angle. Hanging out on the weekends was amazingly fun.
Abi Knickerbocker | It was always a challenge to hang out with Abi, she was so beautiful and so smart, who could compete? But even with all of that, she had the funniest side to a personality that I had ever seen. Hilarious perverted jokes made my day 100 percent better. Every day she rode on my back from our meeting place with our friend back to block class. We got many questionable stares. :)
Jasmine Posey | Jasmine has to be one of the most histarical people that I have ever met. She is adorable, introduced me to Ludo and showed me some of the happiest moments at Highland High. We first met because she liked my Labyrinth shirt. She'll stay in my heart forever. Until alzheimer's kicks in, anyway.
Cassidy Blickensdorf | Cassidy first met me in block class, and then when we tried out for a small play together. She got the part of the fox, and i consider her to be a wonderful actress. She has a knack for adorable cartoonism and hilarious *ahem* jokes. :)
Brandon Oster | Brandon and I met when we were seated next to each other in freshman year in our english class. When I first saw him, I felt like he was a cool guy. Then i got to know him and I found that he was really funny! He was totally fun! We started talking and we just clicked. A couple of cool people who loved hanging out. Brandon is a total gentleman and a hilarious person. He eserves a whole page.
Classroom Friends | Aubrey | Korie | Paden | Drianna | David | Kiersten | Lexi | Sarah | These kids are amazing. I love them. I met them in my Lab Biology and Theater classes, and they made the xperience a million times better.
There once was an ancient palace on a hill, Where an old king ruled on a can of pills, And an ancient magic called love was gone, and men weren't kings but merely pawns. The women cry in the middle of the streets, Begging for a world that needs a release, From the pains of a life without the one, Who could break their chains with a silver tongue. Once in the land of the old and the wicked, There came a man from beyond the thicket, with eyes like the sea of a tempest storm, And the rose in his hand was covered in thorns. Around him there was a lengthy black cloak, And his hair was the color of golden smoke, He's neither king nor night nor peasant nor lord, he's the man they call the Sraphic Sord. | An angel in heart though a devil in fight, He roams the world with an awful fright, He came to the gates of the old king's castle, and his horse reared back with its golden tassles. The The doors flung open for the two man horde, A man on a mission, Seraphic Sword. He's still striding on a horse's back, there he went marching, the man in black, On he rode to kill the drugged up king, On he rode to kill the insane being, Where sin of the oppressor stain the floor, there you will find him, the Seraphic Sword. Walk in the shadows of night must he, There in the darkness his powers be, There on the ancient palace on the hill, the wind ran through with an awful chill. Death has taken away the old king, Death on the blade that an angel swings, The man made it out on the moonless night, taking wrong things and setting them right, And if you fail to take this tale for my word, I fear you'll soon meet the Seraphic Sword. | Seraphic Sword
