73: Farewell Dinner

74: We left Chicago on February 7th, 2011 and arrived in Tel Aviv in the mid-afternoon of February 8th. We settled into our hotel on the Mediterranean Sea and prepared for a memorable experience. On February 9th we visited Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, and Megiddo. We then headed for our hotel, Maagen Holiday Village, on the Sea of Galilee. On February 10th we visited Capernaum, Nazareth Village, the Church of the Annunciation, and the Sea of Galilee. On our way to Jerusalem on Feburary 11th, we visited the Mt. of Beatitudes, Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Korazim and Bet She'an. We began February 12th by visiting the Mt. of Olives and taking the Palm Sunday walk which took us to the Garden of Gethsemane. We also saw Caiaphas' house before heading to Bethlehem and visited Manger Square along with the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds' Field.

75: En Gedi, Masada, and Qumran were on our agenda for February 13th. This was our day to float in the Dead Sea. What an experience! We began February 14th at the Western Wall of the Temple. We then headed to the City of David where we were able to experience Hezekiah's Tunnel or the Canaanite Tunnel. Only the brave chose Hezekiah's Tunnel which is completely dark and filled with water. I was not brave. The tunnels ended at the site of the Pool of Siloam. We then went to the Pool of Bethesda and St. Anne's Church followed by the Garden Tomb. February 15th was a very full day of touring before heading to the airport. We began at the Southern Steps of the Temple. Our next stop was the Via Delorosa which ended at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We then went to the Israel Museum and the Book of the Shrine. On our way to our farewell dinner we stopped at the Knesset to see a giant Menorah. The farewell dinner was delicious. The end to a truly amazing experience!
