FC: Our Story | Kent & Tiffany Wright | -From "the beginning" through the first 5 years of marriage-

 Contents - Where it all began (October 22, 2004) - Engaged (January 1, 2005) - The Wedding (July 23, 2006) - Our first year of marriage (2006-2007) - Our second year (2007-2008) - Our Third year (2008-2009) - Our Fourth year (2009-2010) - Our Fifth year (2010-2011)

Where it all began: Tiff's story.. October 22, 2004 My best friend Danila brought me over to his duplex in Walla Walla, WA. She was friends with Kent and his roommate and wanted to hang out (I didn't want to go). Kent was actually asleep, but he heard my voice and said he had to know who the voice belonged to. At the time, I thought I was supposed to be attending college in Spain.. Due to certain circumstances, I did not go, but I was still planning on leaving in January to go. I wasn't ready for a relationship (I thought). He told me he would wait for me if I went to school in Spain. I finally gave God control and did not go to school in Spain. This was the best decision I could have made.

Where it all began: Kent's story...

First visit to the ranch: November, 2004 Right after Thanksgiving (after my surgery); I went to Kent's family ranch for the first time to visit (we were still just friends at this point). It was COLD and there was a lot of work to do, but it was great fun. This is when I had my first shot. I woke up with a sore throat and Kent told me to ask his dad for some cough medicine. He wen to the cabinet and poured me a shot of Mcnaughton whiskey! It did make my throat feel better. | Kent's story...

While we were still friends, there was this one night when I was having coffee with a male friend. When I came out to my car there was a rose on my windshield. I didn't know who it was from, but later found out it was from Kenton... he was jealous of me spending time with another guy. It was shortly after this trip to the ranch that I decided we were could "officially" be dating. That is when God really moved on my heart and I just knew that Kent was the man I had been praying for. | Kent's input... promised to buy Dani a car if I married him

The Engagement New Years Eve 2004-2005 | Tiffs Story: From the time we started dating to the day we got engaged was about 3 weeks of spending every moment together. We have no pictures from that night, just a video, but here is the story... It was New Years Eve and we planned to make dinner and watch the ball drop at my parents' house. My mom was at her sister's and my dad was at a poker game. I was a mess that night; I cried half the night... I was stressed with school, i didn't have enough time to make a nice dinner, then I burnt the pizza. We ended up having a pizza (extra crispy) by candlelight. Kent brought a wine bottle which was fancy, and he had filled it with OJ. A little before midnight he had me go downstairs to get a surprise. At the top of the stairs was a stuffed monkey and at the bottom was another one. This gave him time to turn on the hidden video camera. Then we sat down together on the couch and watched the ball drop at time's square. right at midnight he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes. It was perfect! | Kent's story: mention how you asked my parents

From January 1, 2005 until the wedding. We were engaged for a year and a half. We wanted to graduate from WWCC before getting married. Our time engaged was spent with friends and family. I worked at the Walla Walla Country Club, The Marc, and Maurices. I was studying a pre-nursing major and danced for the WWCC team in 2005. Kent's life was pretty much baseball, and me of course!

Honeymoon: part I | Gleneden Beach, OR We rented a home right on the beach it was called the "Seachal" and stayed for 3 nights. It was beautiful sunny weather each day. We just relaxed, walked on the beach, soaked in the hot tub, and explored a bit of the small town.

Honeymoon: part II | 5 days, 4 nights in New York We stayed in a hotel in Queens near the the Mets Stadium. | I surprised Kenton with a tour of Yankee stadium which included going on the filed, in the dug outs, and the press box. | The Yankees played Tampa Bay and won. Ching Mang Wong threw almost a perfect game

After the honeymoon and before our next adventure... From the first week of August until August 17th. | When we got married, we didn't actually knowwhere we were going to go to school. We had applied to a few schools, but couldn't make a definitive decision. So... after the wedding, we stayed with Kent's parents for a few weeks and worked harvest to make some extra money. | Before the wedding, Kent had visited a few schools in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. We called our #1 choice in Texas everyday to see if we were accepted becuase we had applied so late. We found out a week before classes started that we were accepted. The day we found out we worked harvest and on our way home, Kent hit a deer in his truck and almost totalled it. So we packed what we could in my trusty 1998 honda civic and headed to Texas the next morning.

We traveled from St. John to my parents' in Milton-Freewater where we stayed long enough to pack some of my stuff, then we headed to Boise, ID and stayed the night with my friend Ruby Inscore. Then next morning we drove down through Utah and straight through to somewhere in Wyoming where we stayed a night. We arrived in Canyon, TX at 7:11 pm. We stayed at the Buffalo Inn for 1 night, then moved to the Goodnight Inn for another week. We ate some amazing Thai food and cup of soups and chili. It poured relentlessly when we arrived. Kent wasn't set on staying, but I wanted to give it at least 1 semester. All we had were some clothes, a couple blankets and pillows, a pan, some chili and rice, and each other. We had no microwave so we had to heat everything in our pan. We bought a thin pad and slept on that with some blankets and pillows until our moms came with Kent's truck and a u-haul with the rest of our stuff. | Our first meal in our first apartment. 2701 8th street, apartment #7. It was a 1 bed, 1 bath, about 600 sq. ft. for $400/month. | My first day of school at West Texas A&M University. August 2006.

Adventures in Texas | First year anniversary | My first tattoo. 04-06-2007. I had drawn this up and wanted it for a while. Kent came home one day and said, "wanna get a tattoo?" I said "sure!" We went along with Dusty Corley who was getting one. I still love it! | This was our first visit to Palo Duro Canyon, where we ended up spending a lot of time. | First day of church. At First Assembly of God. This is where we met Pastor Terry Callis and realized that I knew his wife's family ffrom Walla Walla. Small world! | Our first ski trip to Red River New Mexico. We went with Tyler and Drew Reed. Tyler's fiance Stephanie Hagerman, and our friend Kara Pridey. | Our first Texas snow. I had snow on my shoes when I came in from playing and feel right on my bootie! | We went to Macaroni Joes for dinner. Then we played mini golf, of course Kenton won. We then got some Nice cream, then ended the night watching our wedding video.

More adventures in Texas | The largest cross in the western hemisphere-Near Shamrock, TX | Our next ski trip was to Angel Fire New Mexico. We were accompanied by Drew Reed and Will Grubb on this trip. | I cut my hair to donate it in the spring of 2008. | We went out to dinner. When we got home, we stopped in to our buddy, Tanner's apt. to say. We ended up doing a little photo shoot with his ARs. | 2 year anniversary

 Good Bye Texas

Welcome to Wichita, KS February 2010-August 2012 | Kentonwas signed to the Wichita Wingnuts Baseball team so we decided to move there before spring training started. The dnight before we were planning to move, a big snow storm was coming in and threatening to gtrap us in Canyon. We (Me, Kent, and Nathan) decided to leave in the middle of the night. This move was anything but smooth. H
