S: Our Wedding Day
15: Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are so entwined together that it is unconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. This is just being "in love"which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and that is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow toward each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches they find that they are one tree and not two. | Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other, as the lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let peace rule in your hearts... and be thankful. Let love dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom.
