S: Chattanooga, TN Vacation
FC: Our Chattanooga Vacation | zoo | Rock City | Tennessee aquarium | Ruby Falls
Chattanooga Zoo | Our first stop was the Chattanooga Zoo. I loved the metal cutouts in the fence!
These guys were found near the entrance to the zoo. | The girls posing!
The girls were excited to see the animals so close! | The Gombe Forest featured chimpanzees, tortoises, and an African Aviary.
The next stop was Corcovado Jungle. We got to see Spider Monkeys, Coatis, Macaws, Jaguars and Cotton-top Tamarins.
The Cotton-top Tamarins were the girls' favorite, especially the babies! | They loved to see the jaguar up-close and personal!
We visited the Misunderstood Marvels, Himalayan Passage and Warner Park Ranch. Ashley and Kylee loved petting the goats, but Jenna and Josie wanted nothing to do with them!
The Walkin' Ranch seemed to be everyones favorite. | The Walkin' Ranch featured deer, prairie dogs, cougars, raccoons, and bobcats.
 The highlight of the zoo!
The next stop was Ruby Falls. It was awesome to see all the rock formations, including the Donkey, the Turtle and even Bacon!
Even though the cave was a little cold, the view was definitely worth it!
A few minute away from Ruby Falls is Rock City, which was our next stop. Poor Jenna felt sick so she couldn't enjoy it as much as everyone else.
 Tennessee Riverfront
We got to the aquarium early and had a chance to explore the Tennessee Riverfront. It's a very nice area. The girls enjoyed playing by the water. Ashley got a little too close and ended up in the water!
We started our tour in the Ocean Journey building. Ashley and Kylee were excited to pet the sting rays...Josie and Jenna not so much! Kylee was so excited she almost fell in head first!
The penguins were Jenna's favorite part! | I think she could have spent all day there watching the Macaroni penguins.
The butterfly exhibit was definitely a favorite of the girls! Ashley, Kylee and Josie ran around trying to hold as many butterflies as they could. Ashley was the first to get one. It just came up and landed on her and they were smitten!
Ashley, Kylee and Josie had to be dragged away from this exhibit! They could have held butterflies for forever!
The Boneless Beauties Exhibit was absolutely amazing!
The last part of the Ocean Journey was a huge tank which featured fish, sharks and even a sea turtle!
We loved watching all the sea life. We even caught a diving show and learned about all the animals in the tank. Kylee got to wave to one of the scuba divers. The shark cage was especially fun for the grownups since we got to "lock up" the kids!
We headed to the River Journey building. The first exhibit is the seahorses. They were so cute! The dwarf seahorses were the favorite for everyone!
The tanks in the River Journey building were huge. They were several stories high and contained tons of fish! Jenna was a little braver in this building!
The last area in the River Journey was jam packed with turtles. Toi loved this part! The girls enjoyed the sleeping alligators. The River also had a petting tank with sturgeon. The aquarium topped everyones' list as the best thing we did in Tennessee.
