Argentina (What Happens when Bob Turns 50) March 2011 | When the Lashinski's are let loose in a foreign country....
The Adventure Begins... | El Paraiso Estancia Cordoba, Argentina
The Arrival | After at least 20 hours of travel, we arrive in Cordoba, Argentina together from San Francisco CA, Milwaukee WI, and Bozeman MT.
 Bob | Jody | Kasey | Chris | -- THE HUNTERS --
We wasted no time after we arrived and were out for our first afternoon dove shoot within 2 hours of landing in Cordoba. Chris said his goal was to shoot 1,000 doves in one day. He shot 1,104 doves in the first afternoon, and we shot 2,617 doves as a family.
Fast Action & High Volume Shooting
Maybe I should use 3 guns? | BOB | We have this man to thank for turning 50 this year and for planning the best birthday trip of all time.
JODY I think we can all agree that Jody makes the best faces when she shoots. And if she's wasn't shooting, you could be sure to find her icing the bruise on her face with a beer.
KASEY | It's safe to say that Kasey surprised AND impressed all the men at the Estancia when she broke the female record for most doves shot in one day: 1,244 doves.
CHRIS 'aka Killer' | Chris turned out the biggest numbers for the whole trip; 7,222 doves to be exact. Chris also didn't believe in taking a break. Ever.
 BIRD BOYS | OSCAR | DARIO | MATIAS | JOSE | "HIT!"
 Battle Wounds
Best chef in all of Argentina. We did NOT go hungry on this trip. | FOOD
Our Fearless Leaders | Diego & Dave
Lodging | The accommodations and hospitality were above and beyond all expectations.
Shells Guns Beer | Cartuchos Escopetas Cerveza | The Essentials
After hours it was time to head back to the lodge to eat, sleep, and hang out with our friend Juevos the pig. And of course Bob had to catch up on the news.
 Loving Life
Somehow we survived - shooting sun up to sun down, stopping only to eat and sleep for 3 straight days. | We could not have asked for a better trip! The hunting, guides, hospitality and company were nothing short of exceptional.
 GRAND TOTALS BOXES DOVES % Bob 303 5,964 78.7% Jody 137 1,651 48.2% Kasey 252 3,962 62.9% Chris 367 7,222 78.7% Dave 102 1,784 70.0% TOTAL 1,161 20,583 70.9% * Note Chris and Bob ended up with a TIE for overall hit percentages. What are the chances?!
On to Buenos Aires we go ... | After some rough calculations, Bob agreed that we would indeed be able to get off the ground.
 --Sightseeing in Buenos Aires--
We got our cultural fill in by going to a Tango Dinner Show at Senor Tango. Earlier that day we visited the leather district where the girls bought authentic Argentinian leather jackets. | (This was a tough day for the boys)
Sadly, Kasey and Chris had to head back to school while Bob and Jody's adventure continued on.... After landing in Bariloche, Bob and Jody headed to Junin de los Andes in Patagonia. From here the fun continued with Red Stag hunting, trout fishing and black buck hunting.
 Red Stag
Trophy 6x6! | Not even a severe case of sciatica and a herniated disc can hold the "Great White Hunter" back. | Will it make it back to the USA?
 Patagonia Trout Fishing
Marcos our guide worked the river hard, producing some beautiful brown trout. | Fly fishing and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Chimehuin and Alumine Rivers.
Relaxing and having lunch on the bank of the Chimehuin River.
Livin' the good life! (No one told us we had to go white water rafting!)
 Black Buck Hunting
And finally to the last leg of the trip ... Concordia for Dorado fishing in La Zona.
Fishing the Uruguay River in La Zona. | Bob fly fishes for Dorado to make for an exciting fight while Jody sticks to bait casting for these fighters.
Jody out fishes Bob again! (to no one's surprise) | Thumbs up from the guide!
Cheers to the last night in Concordia and last day of the trip in Buenos Aires!
'The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.' | A trip to always remember...
