Dear Birthmother: With every breath in our bodies we promise you that we will love your child unconditionally each and every day. There will never be a day that goes by where we don’t tell this precious gift from God how much we love him or her. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. Even though we do not know you yet, we have a great amount of respect and admiration for you. We cannot truly understand everything you are going through but please know we offer our sincere support and prayers. We can only try to understand the difficulty in the decisions that lie ahead for you. It is obvious the plan you are making is being made out of love, courage and selflessness and that you are trying to make the best decision for this child. We hope by looking at our photos and reading about our lives you will find comfort in knowing how much we want to share our lives with a child. We are ready to give all the love, care, and adventures a child could ever ask for.
Why We Are Choosing Adoption We always taked about wanting children. We have tried to get pregnant since 2007. Although infertility was hard news to deal with, we now believe adoption is part of God's plan for us and we are excited about it!
You don’t choose your family; they are God’s gift to you, as you are to them. –Desmond Tutu
Giovanni is truly my best friend and the love of my life. He is the most loving person I know. He is honest and sincere at all times. He consistently goes out of his way to make everyone around him feel warm and welcome. My husband loves me unconditionally and his patience helps me weather any storm. He is my rock. | Amanda Shares About Giovanni | San Francisco, CA Alcatraz in distance.
Giovanni Shares About Amanda Meeting Amanda was the best thing that happened to me. I could not believe that I could enjoy being with her so much and that there was somebody that could really appreciate me just the way I was. I would describe her as a loving, happy, and sensitive person. Amanda loves her family and friends. She cares a lot about the children in her classroom. She really works hard for their success and enjoys every little milestone they achieve. I have no doubt that she would make an excellent mother. | Holland, MI Tulip Festival

Giovanni’s Interests: I enjoy spending time with family and friends as much as possible. I look forward to our trips to Ecuador to visit my parents and siblings. Visiting new countries or meeting people from different cultures, has always be an interest of mine. I have been able to explore different cultures by traveling to several countries in Europe and Latin America. I also like to simply relax and watch a nice comedy or action movie with Amanda. Some of my favorite movies are the Back to the Future and The Godfather movies. Amanda and I also enjoy watching and playing soccer. We hope that someday we will able to go and watch the United States and Ecuador play in a World Cup game.

Amanda’s Interests: Being with the ones I love is the most important thing to me. This keeps me grounded and happy. I love to explore and travel. I think it is important to really see and understand the world that we live in. I enjoy photography and can’t wait to start taking pictures of our child. I have a love for animals and enjoy music, movies and Broadway musicals. I believe in creating a happy environment. I think this is crucial for our outlook on life and helps all of us be more content and peaceful people. I believe in being a life long learner. I have been working hard at improving my Spanish (Giovanni’s first language). We hope that our child will be bilingual.

Amanda: I am a Special Education teacher. I work with kindergarden-2nd grade students with Autism. It is the most challenging but rewarding job I have ever had and I love every minute of it. I finished my Master’s degree in Special Education this past year. I am currently continuing my education to obtain an endorsement in Autism. Once the baby arrives I plan on taking 3 month off and then returning to work. One of the best things about being a teacher is having the summer off. I look forward to spending and making great summer time memories with our child. | Our Careers
Giovanni: I am a Chemical Engineer with a Master in Food Processing. I have worked in research and development of new pet food and cereal products for about 11 years. I enjoy the challenges that come with developing and making new food products in the factories. It makes me feel proud to walk into a grocery store and see the products I have helped develop on the shelves. At work there is a truly feeling of team work and we support each other to overcome the challenges of the job. | Our Careers
Lily is our spunky little Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. We got her through a local animal rescue organization. She is very social and LOVES people! She is full of energy and would love to have a child to run around and play with. She enjoys going to the dog park and taking long walks. She is also a great cuddler. | Lily
We live in a quiet neighborhood full of families with young children. Our house is a traditional three bed room, two- story house. We have made one of the rooms into an office and the other one will be the nursery. We like tranquil color schemes; therefore most of our walls are neutral earth tones. This makes our home a sanctuary for relaxing and unwinding. We are planning to finish our basement soon, which will include a great space for a play room. Our community has a lot of kid-friendly things close by. There are a lot of outdoor activities, such as great parks, hiking and biking trails, streams, rivers, and lakes. We live down the street from the elementary school our children will attend. The school district has an extraordinary reputation as a place for outstanding teachers and involved parents | Our Home and Community
Our Loved Ones We are blessed to have wonderful, loving families who would do anything for us. We both come from large families of Italian decent. We take pride in our heritage and family traditions. | Amanda's Family | Giovanni's Family
His younger brother recently got married. Giovanni’s sister and younger brother currently still live in Ecuador. Giovanni’s older brother lives in Brussels. Even though we live far away, we keep a close relationship with his family. At least once or twice a year we all get together. We especially enjoy going to Ecuador for Christmas and New Years. | Giovanni's Family Giovanni’s parents have been married for 41 years. They continue to live in Ecuador, where Giovanni was born and raised. Giovanni’s parents always pushed their children to be the best they could be. They encouraged Giovanni and his older brother to attend college in the United State to farther their education and ensure a successful future. Giovanni has an older brother, a younger sister and brother. His sister is married with two children. Giovanni’s parents enjoy spending a lot of time with their grandchildren. | Giovanni & his parents in Chicago
Amanda was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the youngest of five children. Amanda’s brothers and sister still live in St. Louis. Both of Amanda’s brothers are married. One of her brothers has three children. Her sister is also married and has two children. Her other sister currently lives in North Carolina. When Amanda was 10 years old her mother died of cancer. Her older sister in turn began to play a vital role in her life. As the youngest child, Amanda spent a lot of time with her dad and they developed a close relationship. Amanda’s dad helped instill a hard work ethic and the value of family. He loved nothing more than being with his children and grandchildren. When Amanda’s dad recently passed away, it was heart breaking to know that our children would never have the opportunity to experience what a wonderful man and grandfather he was. | Giovanni & Amanda with Amanda's dad | Amanda's Family

We want to truly share our lives with our children and create a warm, loving environment full of unconditional support and closeness. We can’t wait to experience the “firsts”, such as the first trip to Disney World, the first time seeing the ocean, learning to swim, and learning to ride a bike, just to name a few. We hope to impart our love of learning, literature, travel, and interests in other cultures. Raising a healthy, well-rounded child requires both unconditional love and lots of attention but also regular instruction in respect, empathy, and compassion. Our goal is that learning all of this should be fun and accomplished by us modeling these behaviors. We want to support our child in whatever interests him or her, but will constantly seek to show the importance of hard work, humility, and patience in all of life’s endeavors. Being with family and friends is most important to us. We cherish the little things in life and making special memories. We hope to raise a kind, thoughtful, and generous person who believes in doing things for others and giving back | On Parenting
