1: Rain turns the sand into mud Wind turns the trees into bone Stars turning high up above You turn me into somebody loved Nights when the heat had gone out We danced together alone Cold turned our breath into clouds We never said what we were dreaming of But you turned me into somebody loved Someday when we're old and worn Like two softened shoes I will wonder on how I was born The night I first opened up to you Now my feet turn the corner back home Sun turns the evening to rose Stars turning high up above You turned me into somebody loved. (Song adapted from lyrics by The Weepies)
25: I, take you to be my friend, my lover, and my partner. I vow to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I vow to cherish you and to always hold you in highest regard. I vow to be your equal partner in a loving, honest relationship, for as long as we both shall live. | This ring is a token of my love. I marry you with this ring, with all that I have and all that I am. I will forever wear this ring as a sign of my commitment, and the desire of my heart.
42: Letter to Our People We want to start by acknowledging that the people in this room are our community. You are the people we are most connected to, and you are the people we love. Our dating, engagement, and marriage has been a journey. Not only for us, but for many of you in this room. As we've thought about the purpose of a wedding, and the reason for gathering all off you together, it crossed our minds more than once that it would be easier if we just eloped! Of course it's fun to celebrate this day with all of you, but we believe the significance of this day and the significance of you all being here with us runs deeper than that. The reality is that you are not just bystanders to this journey that we are on. You play an integral part of this story. We need you.
43: As we've thought about the significance of this day, and the significance of you being here with us, it occurred to us that this day is not only for us, its for you as well. This day is a celebration of us committing our lives to each other, and it is also a moment in time for all of you to fully join in and be part of our story. So, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. For being a part of our past as individuals, a part of our present as a couple, and (most importantly) for being a part of our future as we join our lives together in marriage. You are our people, and we love each one of you. Eric & Seren
